Nutramigen info needed

So my baby is 5 weeks old and has had some tummy issues. She was on similac advanced, similac sensitive but could not poop. Would go days without pooping and would constantly be straining. The doctor put my baby on Nutramigen. She has been on it for a week and is pooping regularly but has horrible gas pains which keep her up at night all night and uncomfortable all day. Has anyone had this issue with this formula and what did you find helped the gas? She is also on Zantac for reflux but it doesn't seem to do much. Please help!! Me and my baby need rest!! I need to find something to make her feel better. It breaks my heart!!:( We also tried gas drops and gripe water to no avail.

My son started on Nutramigen at 5 weeks as well, he's not 11 weeks and he's doing really well. It took him a while to get use to it. How often are you burping during feeds? Could it the bottle's and nipples, is it being served cold or warm?

Have you put warm compresses on the belly when needed too.

Hope you get some rest soon.....

Has your doc mentioned probiotics? I don't have any info on nutramagen for you, but my LO was having poop/tummy issues & she suggested the probiotic. I think it helped a lot. My LO is on Gerber Soothe once a day. GL! I hope you get some rest soon.

I could have written your post for you with my baby girl. I've been to the doctor 4 times due to not pooping. Longest stretch was 8 days!!! In 3 weeks (she's 7) she's only pooped when given a suppository. In the beginning, she was drinking prune juice but that loses effect the doctor says. So now she's on 1/2tsp of miralax 1x a day and finally pooped yesterday on her own without a suppository! I'm a proud momma! She is also getting a probiotic (gerber soothe) which I decided to give on my own. When needed, I also give her little remedies gas drops and gripe water as well. The gas drops are great for when she's straining so hard just to get a little toto out and the gripe water is great for her hiccups which happen 5x a day and frustrate her. At night I have been putting her upright in her "swing" (we have the 4Moms swing that you can basically make into a seat position) and that helps with the spit up and get gas out while sleeping.
