Cramping poll! How much, how bad, how often during the first tri?

pblgepblge member
edited August 2014 in Pregnant after a Loss
Please respond only about the first trimester, because I know for some of us that's the scariest time.

Just want to see how normal this is. I'm having near constant pangs of some kind or another (could be cramps, endo, or symptoms from the pregnancy or estrogen/progesterone meds) and I know it's "normal," but it's still freaky.

TIA!!!

    Sorry about the typos! I don't know why polls aren't edit-able. :-/

Hope your doing ok. I'm 6 weeks and on clexane and progesterone and I'm cramping on and off throughout the day, mostly when I'm active or I change positions. I had 1 day of bright red spotting too at 4 weeks 5 days. As long as the cramping isn't too painful I wouldn't worry too much. I've had 2 miscarriages before and that cramping is horrible. I've also been told subsequent pregnancies and the progesterone can also increase the feeling. Try to rest and take things easy and don't be afraid to see your doctor for a scan or blood test to put your mind at ease.

FX all is okay, I had cramping sporadically during first tri. I also had spotting....one time there was a bunch of bright red and I though for sure it was over. But the red turned to brown and that lasted a few weeks. I'm still here and will be 38 weeks tomorrow. So hopefully it is nothing. Sending huge ((hugs)) your way! Sorry you have to deal with all that!

I had cramping a lot thought for sure pg wasn't gonna last. It also felt all over lower abdomen like period cramps. I'm hoping your spotting is a small sch or maybe vanishing twin! Good luck! All this limbo and waiting sucks:(...edited: spelling is hard...

i had pretty frequent moderate cramping with DS through much of the 1T...he was my first pregnancy ever.  i cramped mildly with my loss.  this time around, after the first week or so, i had hardly any cramping, and when i did, sitting to take a break with a glass of water usually made it go away.
