This weekly check-in is for anyone using/considering or who has used a 3rd party method of reproduction, including: Donor egg, donor sperm, embryo adoption, gestation carrier, or surrogate - also Donors, GC's and surrogates as well! If you don't check-in for 3 weeks you'll be removed from the list but we'll happily add you back next time you check in! NOTE: Board etiquette - please post BFPs separately from the check-in, with a warning in message title.

Ok, so the formatting above isn't going as planned  :P I'll try to mess around with it and see if I can figure it out for the future, but for now, please forgive me!!

Things around here are stable. We're still waiting for our hopeful donor to get her period so we can repeat her baseline testing. Once AF arrives, she'll start the pill and assuming the results are good, we'll proceed ASAP (no glitches would mean a mid-September cycle). 

I am still chugging away on the BCPs and waiting for my appointment with Dr. KK. 8 DAYS TO GO!!! Woohoo!! All of my travel arrangements are made for the initial visit, though none are made for the follow-up on Sept. 29th. I'm going to start working on that in a bit.

QOTW: I am a marathon runner who was forced to stand on the sidelines for over a year as we pursued OE IVF. Ever since our cycle failed in April, I've been working my butt off to get back in shape. My 'comeback marathon' is scheduled for Sept 7th, so I've been training hard for that. This past weekend, I did a 20 mile long run. It was tough but it felt good to get it done!!

My appointment with Dr. KK is in 3 days and the follow up is in 24 days. I'm starting to get excited/nervous. We are hoping to do our karyotyping blood work and DH's SCSA testing while we are waiting for our follow up. I also will go in for CD 3 blood work and my SIS this next cycle. Today also marks 3 years of TTC, which never in a million years did I think we would get to that point.

QOTW: I'm working on losing weight, but that could be semi-family building. Other than that I would love to finish a few more projects around the house, but I imagine DH will be putting those projects off. He usually works 6 days a week and now that football is starting, he won't want to work on Sundays. I need to learn to use some power tools and just do the work myself!

Check in: We are just over 25 weeks today! I can't believe it! Time is really flying by all of a sudden. Other than that, there is nothing new with us. We go back for another 4-D ultrasound next week. I'm very excited to see our LO again and see how much he's grown. 

QOTW: Losing weight, organizing the house, and a whole host of crafty projects are my goals...trying to get as much done as I can before we bring our little guy home in November.

Check In: Will be 15 weeks tomorrow.  The morning sickness isn't gone but so much better!  I am really starting to show!  I see my OB next week and my MFM the next week.  Can't wait to hear /see my babies again!

QOTW: organizing my house is my biggest project for sure!

Update: I am on Lupron and just added in Vivelle patches. I go for a lining check on the 21st and then we'll see how the donor is progressing.

QOTW: we are doing small updates here and there to our house. My next project is to redo a small half bath we have - we'll see if I can motivate myself enough to do it soon!

Hi all- I think I've missed a few update threads. I will be 24 weeks on Wednesday. Honestly I'm having a rough time right now. I am still throwing up each morning and caught a cold last week. The combo of coughing and vomiting has basically caused me to pull muscles in my back from the violent force and I'm in agony. Coughing, sneezing etc just aggravates it all day long and it can't heal. I can't get anything done. I see the MFM tomorrow but don't expect anyone can help me...

no goals right now. I feel too sick to do much...

Check-In: We have 14 days to go until our due date! We actually had a massive freak out last week because after a few weeks of almost constant braxton hicks, there was none, and then she never moved at all from Tuesday evening until Thursday afternoon. Surro ended up having an emergency ultrasound when I was at work, but it showed that she's fine, she was just being lazy. She's back to bruising Surro's ribs again.  The girls are all very upset though, since they've figured out that they go back to school before she's due.

QOTW: Honestly, between making sure the girls are okay, getting the house sorted for baby, work and making sure my dad is okay, I've been far too busy to start any other projects. I have however been offered the chance to do kids Ski coaching in the winter, and I am doing lessons in how to coach in October, which I'm really looking forward to.

AFM I'm 12 wks today. Still dealing with ms. What can you do. I got my first baby gift! Since I couldn't go to Nantucket my boss brought back books, t-shirts and a onsie and blanket. Nothing major since we don't know the sex yet but. I was just staring at the onsie and can't believe that I will be using it for MY baby

QOTW: Probably putting new carpet in this one room which will serve as a playroom. The need to organize is ALWAYS there lol.

GL to all the ladies cycling and expecting! I had a 5 dt of two 3AA blasts today. The whole process went very quickly after we selected our donor, everything just synced up. Our agency told me it was the fastest cycle they've ever seen! We have 5 frosties remaining. Our REs office asked if we were disappointed and honestly I am more than pleased. If this doesn't work, I can't see us doing this more than a couple more time and then being OAD. Beta will be 8/23 as we are going out of town later this week. I will likely use a FRER before then. In terms of non IF related goals, I would like to lose weight.

@jimbobcooter, thank you! The stats from both donors are in my siggy. This latest attempt we had 14R, 13M, 11F, 7 made it to five day blast, and we transferred 2. Interestingly enough, with donor number 1, 20 eggs were retrieved leading to 8 5 day blasts. The quality of the embryos was much better with donor number 2, as well. Hoping this time will be the charm. GL to you on your upcoming cycle.

Update:  My baseline is Thursday and I am scheduled to start meds Friday if all looks good .  I cannot believe this is happening!!  IVF with my eggs take 4, 5,and 6. Please let this be it! 

QOTW:  This is a hard question.  I try to be a peacekeeper, and right now I am working on staying out of and keeping my family drama from bringing me down.

Update: sending off my NK cells test today, hoping to get the results soon so we know where we are cycling.

I don't think it will be positive, but I need to rule this out before we transfer our final 2 embryos.

Qotw: I am very happy to be actively in search of a new job. I have been miserable at my current job for years, but my insurance covered so much of our IF treatments and it was the perfect job to be a mother.

I have come to the realization that money is not everything and I can't put my happiness on hold anymore. It hasn't been a healthy environment for me for a long time.
I am excited about doing something completely different and having more time off with my husband.

We are 27 weeks and looking forward to entering the third trimester!

We filed all the necessary paperwork with the hospital and state so that Squirt will be ours when he/she is born. This was a major deal for us!

QOTW:  As usual, @jalara48 reads my mind and more eloquently states my thoughts! LOL

Harder said than done, but a worthwhile goal.

We are still waiting on the results of our EFT.  I'm starting to get stir crazy waiting too.  When I went back to work last week, I found out that one of my coworkers is expecting and another one that just happened to jump in and say "oh I have to figure out how short of notice I can take time off because we are going to try to so I'll need a random day off soon but won't know in advance"  Like it's that easy!  UGH!  Sorry for my vent, I'm super crabby!  I've been having a rough go lately, feeling like we will never have a child.

QOTW: What is a non-family building related goal you are working towards?  After my vent....sorry....I think I am going back to school.  I currently have an Associates in Business Administration.  I honestly don't know what I want to do though.  Bachelor's in business is obviously the most direct route to another degree but I don't really know if I want to stay in business.  Any suggestions?

Hi ladies...
On BCP and baseline appt is thurs with my depot lupron shot. I hope all is well in that ute of mine so we can get this going. Didn't really have any normal periods since my miscarriage last feb... So kinda don't know what he will see when he gets in there! I had my intralipid infusion this Monday and end of aug is so busy for me but it will so work itself out.
Qotw: losing weight I've been able to lose 18lbs since feb so feeling a bit better.

Sorry to be late! PAIF update: I had an OB visit yesterday and wanted to see how that went. All is well! Baby looks great! I'm 1cm dilated and got a membrane sweep (ouch) to hopefully start spontaneous labor. If not, I'm scheduled for induction on my due date 8/20, due to having gestational diabetes. I'm ok with all that!

QOTW: Honestly everything has been baby prep! We are getting our wills redone which was on my mind. And of course post baby, weight loss will be a goal!

Hi all, I am currently waiting to do our first DS cycle starting next week. We should be going in for my iui around labor day. I am extremely excited but also scared that it's not going to work.

One of our goals are to sell our house in a few years and find something with more property and start a small farm
