I picked up a summer cold - headache, sore throat, cough, the whole nine yards. I am so upset with myself! DH has not caught it, but I am worried about DS. HE IS 12 weeks, EBF, and I am still home as his primary caretaker. I am so worried about passing this thing to him and putting him in pain to eat! Any trios n how to protect him while I am under the weather?
This. When I bf with DD I got a ton of colds and stomach bugs and she never got one. You pass all the good immunity you're building to the cold on to them.
Wash your hands frequently, no kisses on the hands or face, careful when you cough and sneeze, etc. The same way you keep from spreading germs to anyone else. And yes, keep breastfeeding. A BF baby can still catch a cold and plenty do, but it's slightly less likely.

Our pedi said to bf because if they catch the bug the antibodies you are making are specific to whatever it is you've got, no face or hands kisses, lots of hand washing. Feel better!
