Vent- pointless travel

I'm fairly new here but wanted to vent- I drove 3 hours to do a presentation for a clients employees and NOBODY showed up! If you knew someone was driving that far wouldn't you try harder to get your employees to attend the meeting? So frustrating... I could have been spending time with my family instead I I'm spending time alone in the car!

We've started Skyping many of our presentations, or doing live webinars, for exactly that reason.

I would be pissed too! Put some music on and jam out- a 3 hour ride sucks!

Well 5 people showed up late so it wasn't a complete waste- it's one of our biggest clients and they want in person but we may need to revisit this with them!!!! We don't charge extra for these visits it's built into their overall expenses with the line of work I'm in.
