I have had two miscarriages and is it taking me a while to get pregnant- we have been trying for 2.5 years total. Now, after two bad experiences with two different OBGYNs, I have decided to go to a fertility specialist. I am trying to decide between RBA and Emory Reproductive. I have called both of them on the phone and they were both very helpful. I have heard good things about RBA but Emory may be more cost effective for me because of my healthcare benefits. Can anyone recommend one over the other?
I conceived my first through Emory. It was a great experience. I got pregnant on the second round. For my second, I conceived through Georgia Reproductive Specialists. Even though it took three rounds, it was slightly less expensive and just as pleasant an experience.
I really liked dr Shapiro at RBA. I was fortunate where we were able to get pregnant on our own but the support and care I got was what helped the most as I had two losses prior. I also went to obgyn of Atlanta so the ease of having both offices in the same building and the doctors knowing each other made it easier as well.

I am with Dr. Toledo at RBA and cannot speak highly enough about him and his staff. I have 3 friends who also went to him or Dr. Shapiro and had great success.
I just finished w/ Dr Toledo and loved him and we finally got our baby
boy on the way now after having so many odds against us. I had to have 2
surgeries, a 3 month course of Lupron injections, the IVF which I
did not respond well to (only 4 eggs) & two transfers w/ the endo
scratch procedures. It takes about 3 months to get in to see him
though. It took well over a year to complete everything as each step had
to be done w/ the beginning of a cycle.
By the way I have an
extra 900IU Gonal F pen that has never been opened that I didn't need
and would love to give away soon vs just throwing it away...especially
since they are so expensive. I believe it expires at the end of 2015 so
if anyone is interested, private message me.
