When did you introduce solids to your child?

I am wanting to know when you introduced solids to your LO. Also did you or your spouse have allergies yourself? TIA

    6 months for both our DD's. My husband and I don't have food allergies, but both our girls do.

    6 months. DH and I both have food allergies (mine is kiwi, his tree nuts) DS has a lot of allergies.

    6m for both.

    DH and I don't have food allergies, but DS has a sesame allergy. We are still figuring things out with DD.

    According to the latest studies, the best time to introduce solids to avoid food allergies is in the 4-6 mos time frame, this coming from my allergist/pedi DH. We started both of our older kids at 4 mos (will start DD2 at 4 mos as well, if she's interested) and neither have allergies. DH and I both have food intolerances. FWIW, both of our kids are great eaters and will try anything. I think it's because we started them on a large variety of foods so young.
