Not sure if this will be triggering for some. The headline is "My wife didn't want to take maternity photos, so I hired a photographer and took her place." Freaking hilarious, IMHO, and makes me want to do the same the next time I have some high quality cycling bloat. There are no babies or (pregnant) bellies here. https://imgur.com/gallery/km7N0

Maybe we should all do these when we have bruised bloated stomachs during stims, particularly those of us with scars from laps and other IF-related surgeries!

I saw that and thought it was hysterical! It also made me realize how stupid/ridiculous some of the typical maternity photo poses/props are! But at the same time, I do want to do some (for real) but maybe I can shoot for less goofy.
On a related topic, I really think I should have taken a pic of the horrible Lovenox bruising I had. They finally all faded (took up to two weeks for some) but it was amazingly horrible-looking and I feel like it should have been digitally immortalized.
IVF #4 No suppression/Antagonist Nov 2014/Converted to IUI #1 = BFN IVF #4.1 Feb 2015 = cancelled IVF #4.2 April 2015 - Lupron Stop Protocol with ICSI = PGD testing of embryo indicated it was abnormal IVF #5 June 2015 EPP with Antagonist
This made my day in a way I can't even describe... but I'll try.
1) OMG - how did I not realize that "maternity photos" were a thing? I'm one of those (probably rare) people who thinks engagement photos are awkward. This is a million times beyond that.
I had no idea this was a category of things to choose off a photo-package menu. Wow.
2) I *must* send these to my husband. I would be (not so) secretly delighted if I could get him to take a set of these for me. (Prediction - DH's reaction will be something to the effect of "So, you're saying I have the belly of a PG woman? Thanks!")
3) BRAVO - BRAVA -.... Huzzah! Thanks for sharing @pblge=D>
So... I just Googled "maternity photos" and sure, there were some cute/sweet photos, but some of the images are just horrifying!
See what you made me do @pblge! It's like a sea of awkward family photos in the making. Maybe only the really awkward ones get top hits on a search engine. Oh. My eyes. My EYES!!! There are some things you just can't un-see.
I'm not going to post any here, for obvious reasons, but if anyone is morbidly curious, you should just Google it. And try to stop yourself from snorting "What were they thinking?" out loud.

@AMShark you are talking about the weird naked ones and the ones with guns, right??? They are so awesome in their awfulness.
Yes!!! And awkward inclusion of the father, or bizarre props. Buzzfeed (with their list-making ways) compiled a nice collection of creepy pics that pretty much sums it all up.
Haha yeah it really does make some actual maternity photos seem silly to me too hehhe.
