Even though I haven't completely come to turns that the pee sticks are correct, I can't contain myself!!! After 3 years, I can't believe I finally got a little blue line! Well two so far bc like I said, I don't trust them lol.
Still think I'm gonna take another one or two in the next few days!!!
I've posted on this board before, and commented on others. I've also been on the TTTC board a bit. Didn't realize I had to do an intro.
But thank you!
It's not so much that you have to do an intro as much as be active. We're happy for you (3 years is a long time) - we just don't feel like we know you so it's almost as if you your sole purpose in coming here was just to brag that you're KU. If I didn't post here often, I wouldn't feel the need to announce that I'm pregnant bc I don't know these people - unless I just wanted to brag about it. For us you're a stranger with a pee stick.
But seriously, congrats. Not trying to be a jerk. Just want you to get an idea of where we're coming from and why we aren't as elated for you as we are for @Jags8 or @FitMom3510.
I'm not trying to brag, I'm excited yes. And I get on when I can/have time, comment when I can relate. So sorry to offend anyone.
Brag probably wasn't the right word. I just meant it's weird for us to have someone we don't know annouce it to us - a lot of people here compare it to telling a stranger in the grocery store.
I really don't think you meant any harm and I think you've handled the snark or whatever (it hasn't been as bad as usual!) quite gracefully.
Anyway, congrats again. I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months.
@coriej4110 : it sounds like you've had a long road to BFP. Congrats. However, I don't believe we've ever gotten the opportunity to get to know you during your time TTC. That is unfortunate, but it's considered rude to post your BFP to a community you've never actively participated in.
It sounds like you are just excited to share. That's understandable. It's an exciting time for you. First trimester is a great place to share your good news & start building a community for yourself.
Wishing you a happy, healthy & joyful pregnancy. :-h
