I know the rule of thumb is after 6 months of trying but I'm not sure how to count since I had a BFP and a loss. If I count from when we started TTC then 6mo would be September. If I count from when we started TTCAL then it would be December. I realize I am not to any of these dates yet and I don't want to be impatient but I also don't want to waste time when the ovary clock is ticking. I'm a 37 yrs old for those on mobile. I don't have insurance covering for IF but I hope the basic labs would be covered and since we paid my deductible for the D&C I definitely want to get that done this calendar year. Thoughts? I know we have some very knowledgeable grads so if you are lurking please chime in as well. Thanks

I am totally with you on the deductible line of thought. I was going to try and have my fibroids removed if I am not PG by Sept. Since I am already out of pocket $4200 anyway.

I just went to my first RE appt this month and I have been trying since December with 1 chemical pregnancy in March. My OB wanted me to try a bit longer, but since my chemical, my periods have been irregular, with a lot of mid-cycle and after O spotting. She ran a couple tests and found low progesterone so she referred me to an RE. I'm glad she did! It's at least nice to start getting the baseline testing done. I would consider from the time you started trying, and would not consider a loss as restarting the clock.

I would suggest going to the RE. On the consultation visit he did a trans-vag US and gave me reassurance that my egg supply is ok. So since I'm just shy of 37 I feel relieved, that I have more time. However it means nothing, really, b/c my friend at 37 went in and they said her eggs were old, and she got pregnant anyway. But anyway I'm glad I went and I do feel good having some information. I'm working on keeping it as INFORMATION and not having fear around it.
TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.

I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.
July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes. Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube. If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help. Doubts I have endometriosis. My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
Thanks for the advice. I emailed the clinic near me through their website and she said that she wouldn't recommend waiting any longer than 2 more months based on my age and history and that they schedule new patients within 3 weeks. Unfortunately I will most likely be out of town for work next cycle since I am leaving CD 16 and last 2 cycles I haven't O'd till after CD 20. I will talk to my H about it before making an appt but thanks for all your input.
