Hi everyone! My name is Katie, I am 30 years old, and live in Colorado. I am married to a wonderful man and have a one and a half year old (born 11/12) daughter who I am currently still nursing.
Getting pregnant for me the first time around was not easy and after 9 months of trying, getting diagnosed with PCOS, hypothyroidism, and endometriosis, and finally getting a referral to see a RE we found out at our first appointment that I was already 3 weeks pregnant. The pregnancy with my daughter wasn't the easiest, I dealt with placenta previa, but I delivered her at 38 weeks by mandatory c-section at a very healthy 6lbs even.
Since having my daughter I have eliminated non-organic food, gluten, corn, soy, and dairy from my diet and am trying very hard to stay on a low starch, low glysemic index diet to help control the PCOS symptoms. After having nursing induced amenorrhea I finally have my cycles back as of 7/8 and my husband and I are ready to start trying for a second child. I look forward to getting to know everyone while we take this hopefully short journey together.
Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.
welcome! I would suggest charting your basal body temp. While I was nursing I had regular cycles but was not ovulating. I had to ween completely before my body would ovulate. Which is lousy since I was still getting AF every 4-6 weeks. But unless you chart, you won't know for certain if you are actually ovulating or not.

Thank you everyone! I am currently temping so we will see if I am actually ovulating or not. My Ob told me at me annual to keep nursing, avoid alcohol, and just have fun unless we go a few cycles without conceiving so that is what the plan is right now. I forgot how stressful ttc is until we started back this month.
Welcome! I'm still nursing my 20 month old but just at night. AF came back a few months ago. This is my first month TTC. I didn't temp because I haven't been getting much sleep but I'm going to start temping next month.
