Weekly check-in 7/16

My due date is fast approaching. Anyone want to take over the check-in??

1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

2) Age at delivery? (optional)

3) Any other children? Furbabies?

4) How are you feeling?

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

QOTW: If you work, do you plan to work right up until delivery or will you start your maternity leave a little early?

Hey @2redtulips are you feeling excited? I'd be happy to take over the weekly check-ins, but I am quite early in my pregnancy. Also, I would have to post late the night before because of my schedule. So, if there aren't any other takers, I'll do it. 1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby? Mar 2015, 6W5D, pea 2) Age at delivery? (optional) 35 3) Any other children? Furbabies? Nope 4) How are you feeling? Tired and cranky. I wish more people knew I was pregnant. It would make things easier 5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Appt rant: I screwed up and waited too long to make an appt for my 7 week check-up. Doc is only available at my preferred location closer to 9 weeks. They didn't seem concerned, though. QOTW: If you work, do you plan to work right up until delivery or will you start your maternity leave a little early? I think I'm going to have to be flexible. I work from home and my hours are already flexible. I'm finding that I can't do as much and so I expect to not be able to do as much close to the end.

    2) Age at delivery? (optional)

    3) Any other children? Furbabies?

    Good!

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

@NeonNoon - Thanks! If you're willing and want to take over next starting next week, that would be great. (ETA: Post whenever is convenient for you. I just picked Wednesday because that worked best for me.)

@2redtulips - wow! good luck - hope everything goes smoothly! What do you do for work (freelance)?

    1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
        March 13th-18th (estimate until 1st U/S), 6 weeks tomorrow, almost a pea!

    2) Age at delivery? (optional)
        38

    3) Any other children? Furbabies?
I'm growing my first one now! But also have 1 dog and 2 cats

    4) How are you feeling?
Feeling better than I was b/c I changed up my diet some, eating more veggies and brown rice. I haven't had any other symptoms other than sore boobs and fatigue. But caught a cold from my mom and now can't take anything, so miserable from that! I hate being a mouth breather!

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
My 1st U/S appt is Wed, July 23rd, can't wait! Only rant I have is just how slow everything seems. Seems like it took forever to get the BFP, then every day since then has been even longer than the day before! :)

QOTW: If you work, do you plan to work right up until delivery or will you start your maternity leave a little early?
I am also a freelancer, I own a design business, so I work from home and will keep on working until people stop giving me work, unless it becomes too hard to sit in front of the computer for hours each day -- I may just scale back my hours and then take some time off right before and after delivery.

So, I'm feeling great right now. QOTW: I'm a SAHM this time, so it will be what it is.

    1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
I'm 27w5d- due date October 13 with our second boy.
    2) Age at delivery? (optional)
    36, DH is 42 (today!)
    3) Any other children? Furbabies?
Our son is 33 mo (he'll turn 3 at end of October) and our furbaby is 4 mo.  I'm potty training both right now!
    4) How are you feeling?
Feeling pretty good overall.  I definitely notice more RLP this time around that thankfully passes pretty quickly.  I'm also big enough that I'm in the out of breath phase, which is annoying.  I've had lower back issues since my first son was 9 mo and that has been a constant this time around.  I'm making an appt to see a chiro next week and hope that will help a little.
    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
I had an appointment on the 14th and won't go again until early August.  I took my GD test and I'm assuming all was well b/c my midwife hasn't called and it now is Friday.  I'll start going every two weeks after my next appointment and it is hard to believe that I'm far enough along to start going that often.
QOTW: If you work, do you plan to work right up until delivery or will you start your maternity leave a little early?
I am planning to work until I deliver- I freelance and contract as an ID/learning specialist and PM and I happen to be in between contracts right now (my most recent one ended this week).  I have two interviews next week- one for a 3-6 mo contract and the other is for a perm position and I'm really hoping one or both lead to an offer because I'm pretty eager to work as much as possible before LO arrives.  My plan is to start working again fairly soon after I deliver (ideally I'll be off for 2 weeks, wk PT from home for 2 more, and then FT from home until LO is 6-8 weeks).  We will see how it all pans out!

That's similar to my plan, but I'll be working 3 days a week after LO starts day care at 6-8 weeks, so not exactly full time. I have the option of adding day care days, though, if my client load picks up. We'll see.

    1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby? Jan 19th. 13w 4d. We are a peach! { @samuelismomma I can't remember if you've mentioned this before but we have the same due date.}

    2) Age at delivery? 36

    3) Any other children? Furbabies? 3 girls (13, 11, & 7) and a furdoggy (also a girl)

    4) How are you feeling? Headaches, headaches, headaches. I have learned if I have at least one soda a day it keeps them at bay. I have always had horrible headaches with all my pregnancies.

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? After having to switch doctors after my first appt. I found another, only to have them push me back more. So I found yet another doctor and go next Wednesday. I am excited to see what is going on as I was 7 weeks at my last visit.

QOTW: If you work, do you plan to work right up until delivery or will you start your maternity leave a little early? Thankfully I do not work. I thought about subbing at my girls' school but I just don't think I will be up for it.

My due date is fast approaching. Anyone want to take over the check-in??

    1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby? I'm 25 weeks

    2) Age at delivery? (optional) Old ;-)

    3) Any other children? Furbabies? Our 3 girls and our dog.

    4) How are you feeling? Much better this week.  Love feeling baby move around so much.

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? I have to do another 3 hour glucose test but next week I'm on vacation (so excited to head to Big Sky country)! I hope my doctor is OK with my test being a little after 26 weeks because I can't get in there until the following Monday.

QOTW: If you work, do you plan to work right up until delivery or will you start your maternity leave a little early? I would always joke with my boss (both of her girls were 14 days and 16 days late) that I would go on my mat. leave on Wednesday and have the baby on Thursday.  With DD#1 what I predicted happened.  I joked I would do it again with DD#2 and wouldn't you know it I had her on a Thursday too (both 2-3 days prior to their due dates) With DD# 3 I had to be induced early because of my GD, so I came to work for my sales meeting on Monday and then left at 11:00 to head to the hospital.  Had the baby that Tuesday morning at 12:30AM!  Hopefully I will stick to form and have no complications that would take me off of work early for DC#4! I like to have all my time off with a baby in my arms!

    Have a great week ladies!!

    4) How are you feeling? Good!, some crampsand RLP, no spotting. Heartburn if I bend over too much. :-)

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Thurs, viability scan... tried to find HBs last Thurs, could only find one faint. Its early yet, but I will take all the reassurance I can get.

QOTW: If you work, do you plan to work right up until delivery or will you start your maternity leave a little early? I would like to save all my time until I deluver, but might see about "light duty" toward the end, I am a nurse on my feet for 12 hour shifts... :-)

    Samuelismomma - GL on Monday!!!

    1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
Jan 24, 2015; I am 13 weeks, 1 day; baby is the size of a peach!
    2) Age at delivery? (optional)
    37
    3) Any other children? Furbabies?
Nope - unless you count our house plant and now orchid!
    4) How are you feeling?
FINALLY starting to feel better.  Still have a bunch of fatigue but I think the nausea is finally abating
    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
We got our Panorama results last week - everything came back low risk!  We are thrilled to say the least!  Next appt isn't until Aug 4th so now just trying to sit tight.  We are starting to tell close friends as we see them - and will start sharing more broadly (and allow our parents/siblings to start sharing) after my appt on the 4th - will be 15 weeks then.
QOTW: If you work, do you plan to work right up until delivery or will you start your maternity leave a little early?
Good or bad, my company had a restructuring / change in strategy at the end of last year, so I am not currently working.  I was looking for a long time, and still am - but there is nothing out there at my level right now - all very junior or C-level.  I think I have another couple weeks to month before it is obvious so hoping I can find something, else will start looking again shortly after the baby arrives.

@Lady2010- I hear you on looking for a new job and not finding much!  It seems to come in waves and I'm boldly going to interviews even though I'm very obviously pregnant.  I figure that the timing of a great opportunity isn't always going to be ideal and maternity leave is a very short time frame for a candidate who is a great fit and hopefully will be a long term employee.

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Not today. Maybe I should have posted yesterday. I had plenty to complain about then. Lol. Probably will tomorrow too.
