PAIF'er:
I may add to my update tomorrow after our MFM appt, but all is well except baby is still breech - I started acupuncture, moxibustion, and inversions to help her along - but it's her choice in the end so I am at peace however it turns out. I'm feeling ok but it is wicked hot (for Seattle) so just bearing with that - seems my blood sugars are a lot harder to manage with the heat . Our shower is next weekend which we are excited about!!

QOTW: We had a little picnic/party for about 10ish people and then it dwindled to just 4 of us an we headed to our neighbors fabulous deck with a spectacular view of the fireworks! And it was SO nice to still get a whole weekend afterwards!!

Liz: your up next momma!! Sammy is going to be here so soon! You've some such a long way in your IF journey and so happy for you that your dreams will come true in a few weeks!!!

AFM: Fourth of July was a blast! We had a great day with PJ and got to see a killer firework display!! Fun times bbqing and having by the pool on a 100 degree day!
In about a week I being BCP for sept FET and time seems to be flying by.

Check in:  FET went as planned.  We transferred 2 6 day 5aa blasts.  My first beta is 7/11, but I won't get the results until my second beta on 7/13.

QOFW:  I had to lay low for the 4th, so we just stayed home!

AFM 7 wks today. The fatigue and m/s is killing me. My moods are awful. One min I'm looking at nurseries and baby names the next minute I'm crying thinking why did I get pg at my age. I feel bad even thinking those thoughts I've waited so long for this. Might have stemmed from 2 pp talking abt my age. Please tell me it's hormones!

@BeckyP005 - I have had second thoughts too - I think it's pretty normal... think of how many hormones are racing through our bodies at any given point in this crazy cycle!? Don't stress about it

Check-In: Everything is going ok - still spotting which is the most unnerving experience. I feel like everytime I get excited (as it stops) it starts right back up. I know my RE said this might be my normal, but I just want to be normal normal, ha! Had a u/s on July 3 which showed a very healthy little peanut with a heartbeat of 185bpm. We even saw a little movement. Next ultrasound is this Thursday - 3.5 weeks until I'm out of the first trimester and I can't wait. 

QOTW: This weekend was packed full of seeing friends - it was much needed!

Big congrats to @firesiren ad @doubleportion for their beautiful twins making their appearance. I find myself thinking about both of you a lot and how long I've personally seen your struggles. I am just thrilled beyond comprehension for both of you. So very happy.

@Lacyj67 - You're sweet for calling me out! I can't believe it but 21 days (or less) and Sammy will be here. Blows my mind! So excited for your beautiful little PJ too! What a blessing.

@2mamazinseattle - You know Sammy and I are both sending flipping vibes to your LO. Flip, baby flip. You can do it!

AFM - PAIF update

I'm getting closer and closer to our scheduled c-section delivery on July 29. I am now counting things in "grocery shopping trips" (there are only 2 left, by the way) or "laundry days" LOL because we are THAT close. I still have this nagging loss fear creeping in which I want to punch in the face because I should be only excited I'm on the home stretch at this point. I keep waiting for the eff you to come. Grr...

We had our final 3d ultrasound on Saturday and baby didn't fully cooperate so we got kind of a blurry shot of her. BUT we did get to see her ginormous baby lips. I posted a photo on my blog if anyone wants to see. I keep day dreaming about what she's going to look like because she's not related to me or DH, and we don't know which batch of the two she came from. So it's going to be a big surprise on her birthday! Still fun to wonder!

But baby looks great, my GD is managed tightly and my MFM says she could come now and have no problems. She likely wouldn't even need NICU time. That just blows my every lovin' mind. I'm waiting for her coming home outfit to ship to me from etsy lol, but otherwise we are all packed, prepped, and ready to go!

QOTW: I did absolutely nothing. I cleaned the bedroom....not even the whole house, and it completely wore me out. I spent the rest of the day watching DVR with DH LOL! It was perfect. Resting is my favorite thing to do these days anyway.

@BeckyP005‌ -- 40 with twins is much harder than I realized so I totally get where you are coming from. I'm still throwing up once a day at almost 19 weeks so I get it. Did you ask for zofran?? Don't be a hero. Get anything that will help.

AFM: I got the last that the girls' amnio was completely normal!!! Relief doesn't even sum it up for me. I will be shocked for the rest of time that my "crappy" embryos that I was mad that they froze are "normal"! Boy was I wrong about it all.... I'm 19 weeks on Wednesday and have a MFM appt tomorrow. We aren't doing the anatomy scan until, 7/21 which is almost 21 weeks....
We had bad weather on the 4th. Originally DH had to work the parade/fireworks on 7/3 and 7/4 but it all got moved to last night (he's police). We went to a BBQ (inside) on Friday but that was it for me. My energy level Isn't great and one outing does me in for the next 2 days!

Congrats to everyone celebrating good news this week!

Check in We have our 21 week ultrasound this week! Hopefully on Friday we will know what we are having and we can actually start doing some baby-related things like registering or planning for the nursery. It's so surreal and I am hoping this ultrasound makes things seem more real. DH had knee surgery last Monday and is now on crutches for the next 6 weeks, so that has been taking up a lot of time as well. I was also in Boston for a week for work, went to Minneapolis for a bachelorette party, and we are going back to Minneapolis this coming weekend for the wedding (DH and I are both in it). It's been a very stressful and insanely busy couple of weeks. I can't wait until next weekend. I'm going to camp out on the couch or out in the sun and not move for the entire weekend. 

QOTW: 4th of July was ok. I worked 12 hours on Friday but we had DH's mom and brothers up and spent the weekend with my parents at their cottage on the lake. It was fun.

Congrats to all of the babies and mommas :-) Not much to report...started twice weekly NSTs this week. The first was today and everything looked good except my fluid was slightly high. So, they will just check again on Thursday as planned.

Update: waiting for my endometrial receptivity results; I was told this could take up to 3 weeks... Ugghh, more waiting. At this point, I'm really hoping for a 'receptive' result and just moving forward with the FET the next month.

Honestly, I'm not sure if I will repeat the test if the results aren't receptive. The biopsy was horrible; having already had 2, I was not expecting it to be so bad. My RE is talking about another cervical stitch before our next transfer... It's all getting to be too much. Both of these procedures are extremely painful and there's no saying any of it will even matter. Other than all of that business, we still have no idea what our next steps will be... I'm scared.

Little update.... our appointment today was fantastic because we found out our baby FLIPPED and is solidly head-down! Thanks for all the good wishes. Our doctor was so happy for us to have a shot at a vaginal birth and so are we! YAY! Now we just hope she stays that way.

@BeckyP005, oh, dear, the hormones... they make us all crazy!! Recently, I've gone through the whole cycle again and am back to wondering if I am worthy. Then I remind myself that my mantra is "Don't think, just do" and just keep on keeping on. Hugs!

AFM, augh, I'm doing alright. I'm waiting, waiting, waiting for my first profile from the match coordinator. We are going to see a RI in August and September... I can't say that I have much hope invested in any of it though. I'd just like to get out of this infernal hell and move on with a happy life. I know that I ovulated yesterday (OPKs & O pains) so we HIO... whatever. The emotional roller coaster that is IF is just so relentless. I wanna get off the damn ride!!

Tomorrow makes eight weeks with an EDD of Feb 17, 2015.  We are going to the 9 week ultrasound next week. I'm very excited to hear the heartbeat.  Fingers crossed the gummy bear cooperates.

We hung out at our house on the fourth & walked a couple of blocks to watch the fireworks with many of our neighbors.  I did enjoy that long weekend.

AFM: We received our new calendar. We are doing three mini IVFs and banking the embryos (OEs and DS), on the 3rd cycle we will transfer the best 1 or 2. We have a backup plan if we end up with no embryos to transfer. My clinic has two beautiful D-EM that they are hoping to save for me and DH!! I'm happy with this new plan and hope that this works!!

QOTW: We went to our favorite local lake and spend the 4th and most of the 5th there. The weather was beautiful. I was able to get in my first two waterskies in and 1st wakeboarding in for the season I babysat my nephew on Sat night and most the day Sunday. Overall it was a good weekend.

Hi everyone, sorry but I'm going to post and run.  Hugs to everyone who needs them, I'm always thinking of you.  I'm still on 5 units of Lupron and increasing my Estrace to 3 times a day tomorrow.  My lining check will be on Monday 7/14.  I booked out flight, hotel and car rental and we are set to fly out on Th 7/24, have the biopsy and trial transfer on the 25th and then fly home on the 26th.  I'm really nervous but I'm trying to take it one day at a time.  I've been really busy with work and planning a shower that I don't have much time to think about it.

I've been on a bit of a bump hiatus, but wanted to check in. Congrats to all of the great news and hugs to those that need them.

Right now we are just in waiting mode. Our frozen donor eggs fell through, so now we are just waiting for our appointment with Dr. KK and trying to decide how we want to move forward. My sister has offered to donate eggs, but we are still deciding if that is a route we want to go down. My husband is also pretty adament that he does not want to use his sperm again (we had been discussing the option of a double donor cycle). I am also planning on making an appointment with a different RE at my clinic (My RE uses the clinic for his IVF, but the rest of his treatments are done through his own private practice). She is a bit more progressive than my current RE and I am starting to feel like my current RE has given up on us.

QOTW: My fourth of July was good. DH was camping with friends all weekend, so I spent most of the weekend with my nephews. They are 10 and 1 and both at fun ages for fireworks.

AFM: Squirt was looking great at the A/S last week. We took our album of sonograms (yep, we have that many pics) when we went to see the fam. Everyone is so excited!

I start stims tomorrow for our last IVF. My AFC was only three, so not a lot of hope but I feel compelled to try.

We have a ton happening in the rest of July, but as of August 1 I am free to do work around the house until the semester starts on August 25. I am planning on actually taking some time off and going to the city pool!

@Twinkie0612‌ - I am so very sorry for all you are going through. So very sorry the frozen egg plan didnt work out for you guys... I feel like my 2nd opinion RE has given up on us and it is a really hopeless feeling, I'm so very sorry. I hope things turn around for you and your appt goes well.

@Km672 Thanks. I'm sorry you feel like your 2nd opinion RE has given up on you, it is a terrible feeling.

Honestly I think my RE gave up on us after IVF #2, he was pushing us towards donors when another RE came up with our plan for IVF #3. After IVF #3 (which was by far our best looking cycle) he pretty much told us to get 2nd opinions and cycle elsewhere. He is still willing to do monitoring for us if we cycle out of state, but he just doesn't seem to want to be "in charge" of our treatment. I really like this other RE, so I am hoping that everything works out with her. Right now I am focusing on getting healthy (and losing the weight I gained from my first 3 cycles of IVF), right now I am leaning towards cycling one last time with my eggs and having my sister donate eggs as a back up if we need it. I am also considering putting a profile on MW and maybe giving donor embryos another shot. I guess a lot of this will depend on how our consult with Dr. KK goes, RI treatments can get pricey which may limit our treatment options.

I made the mistake of POAS today, 8dp5dt. Negative on a FRER. Beta is Monday, but I'm not holding out much hope. Those were our last remaining frosties. Well need to ponder if we will make a go of it with another donor or stop entirely. I am so incredibly grateful for my daughter, but still scratching my head as to how only one 5 day blast was viable out of 8. Hoping I can relax this weekend and feel better by Monday. I feel incredibly defeated now, but remain thankful for what we do have. I've been cycling or preparing to cycle since April, maybe I just need a break!

Hi all! My husband and I finally had our blood work and meeting with out RE regarding DS. Our next step is meeting with the social worker and then we can order the sperm. I am very excited that we are making headway and DH is actually starting to get excited also.

My 4th of July was good it was a very busy weekend with work and spending with family. Its so hard to believe that summer is almost over.
