Re: ~~May Blossoms Check in 6/9~~

  • Good morning Blossoms.  I had my second u/s this morning and unfortunately, things aren't looking good for us.  The heart rate was measured at only 60bpm.  I'm preparing myself for the worst.  We will have a follow up in 2-3 days to see if things are progressing.

  • (((HUGS))) I'm so sorry @CallaLily30. I hope that s/he is just a little lazy right now!

    I POAS this morning at 7dp5dt and BFN. I was expecting that, but it still stung a bit. I just joined a new class and am seeing my GP tomorrow for a referral to a therapist (outside of our clinic), so I'm just taking some steps that I need to get in a better headspace. DH wants to cycle again, but I'm not sure. I guess I'll take some time to figure it out before moving forward. Our WTF is in 2 weeks, so hopefully they'll give us some more information as to why our embryos arrested and maybe get a plan for moving forward.

  • Oh @CallaLily30‌, I am so very sorry to hear your news. Sending thoughts and *hugs* your way. Take care of yourself!

    AFM: Still in disbelief over BFP, anxious for beta on Wednesday. Done 4 home tests all with strong positives, so keeping my fingers crossed. My DH had an oddly subdued reaction to the news. I had to ask him last night how he was feeling about it & he said he was happy but trying not to get his hopes up. He said he was cautiously optimistic. I guess he has really taken the "nothing is guaranteed" aspect of IF to heart. Kind of a bit of a buzz kill, but I do understand where he is coming from. Still, I'm just thrilled to know I can at least get this far and want to celebrate that for now, as we have never even gotten this far before in 3 years of trying.

  • @CallaLily30 Im so sorry.. Sending you lots of hugs! Its so hard, no matter how much you try to prepare yourself, there is still a part of you that hopes things work out for the best. Im being so optimistic for you.

    @tptbabe Sending you hugs too... so sorry about the BFN. Hopefully you get some answers. My family therapist helped me a lot. So I think its good that you are looking for someone to talk to.

    @CLS78 I cant belive you have ultrasound in a couple days, how exciting. Are you still POAS?

    @Spring78 I think we can all relate to H a little. Mine was the same way. He is a little more into it now, but is still very cautious when talking about it.

    AFM: I just had my 2nd beta draw, so I should get the results this afternoon. Im just wondering when I can stop some of the injects. (my body feels like a pin cushion)

    QOTD: I was a Warner Brother gal... Taz was/is always my favorite. But having to pick from the Disney family it would have to be Ariel (The Little Mermaid). Still one of my favorite movies.

  • @CallaLily30 - I am so sorry!  Sending you big hugs and T&P that things turn around at your next u/s

    @tptbabe - so sorry but keeping my fingers crossed that it is just too early.  When is your beta scheduled for?

    @Spring78 - congratulations!  I think it wasn't really real until we had our first u/s and DH saw the hb.  Since then he is definitely more excited, and not as guarded.

    @jaztaz1 - FX for doubling!

    @Hernsy - Congratulations!

    AFM: No updates here.  Just waiting for next u/s - not till 24th due to DH's travel next week (sigh).  Sat was really rough - exhausted and terrible nausea all day.  Sunday was better so hoping the rest of the week will be similar to yesterday.

    QOTD: I am old school - I love Mickey and Goofy!

    Sending everyone positive thoughts!

    @CallaLily30 I wrote you on the PAIF check in but I'm so sorry. Try to hang in there and remember that miracles CAN and DO happen.

    @tptbabe I wanted to tell you that I have been through 5 embryo transfers. After my 3rd BFN I was so mentally upset over it that I felt like I couldn't function. I remember telling my DH htat I was NOT doing okay. He encouraged me to see a therapist and OMG it was the best decision I've ever made EVER. I simply googled "infertility counselor in (my city)" and up popped her name. I'd strongly recommned you see someone who specializes in infertility if that's a possiblity. She is AMAZING. HOnestly, what was aneeded was someone for me to vent to/share with and cry to rather than constantly dumping it all off on my husbands. Naturally men want to HELP and FIX our situation but in this case they can't so it's frustrating. To this day my DH says that that therapist saved our marraige lol Just my simply listning to me! lol He says he owes her starbucks and dinner on us b/c she is such a life savor. I highly recomned it and think it's awsome that that's the route you're taking. I'm Sorry about your cycle and hope htat your WTF brings some peace to you.

    @Spring78 Congrats lady! My DH was pretty reserved too. Especailly since had a chemical before so our BFP was basically taken away the next day but this time I got stern with him and said we HAD to celebrate hte little victories along the way!! It was  MUST! He agreed :) I agree with @Lady2010 htat things get more real after you see the heartbeat!

    @jaztaz1 Cna't wait for Beta #2!!! I feel so good about this for you!! Girl, I hate to break it to you but I'm still on them all. Every RE is different but mine said he'll retest my progesterone at my 9 week u/s and decide if PIO can stop or not. My butt is literally numb from all of the injections. IT's kinda sad. It's also covered in bruises but they are WELCOMED! lol Also, my Lovenox MAY stop soon but I think you have more reason than I do to be on it. Some women are on it throughout their entire pregnancy... My RE said he'd keep me on it at least until my 9 week u/s and then go from there. How have you been handling those? Mine haven't been too bad (besides a few bruises here and there) but last night I must have hit a blood vessel b/c the injections site would NOT stop bruising and welted up. I have a nice trophy of a bruise today on my belly lol I"m honestly terrifeid to stop taking the injections!! I wanna make sure baby is happy in there. How long will you be a on prednisone? How many mg are you taking?

    @Hernsy Congrats! Cute Idea! My hubby is in the Army. I think that's a sweet idea to do while they're in the field! mine would be text messaging me like crazy before he even got in the car since he'd know I have good or bad news and he'd be dying ot know! lol

    AFM: Waiting for u/s #2... June 19th. Seems so far away but I'll be 9 weeks by then. Woo Hoo. I'm counting down the days! lol

  • @Hernsy YYYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! See sometimes POAS too early is dangerous. lol Hoping things continue to progress for you.

    @SKLH OMG dont freak me out, the WHOLE pregnancy?... The price we have to pay i guess. lol Im hoping I can stop by the end of 1st tri at the latest. 5ml a day for prednisone. Lovenox is iffy, some days it hurts and I bruise and some days Im just fine.

  • @CallaLily30‌ I'm so very sorry; praying for a miracle

    @tptbabe‌ I'm so sorry, fx that you can get some answers and good plan moving forward. I fully support the decision to seek a counselor to help process everything, I plan to do the same should this cycle fail

    AFM- Today is 6dp5dt and early this am there was a light pink tint on the tissue. I also noticed a bit on the liner. Pretty sure it's not implantation bleeding as it too late; charging it to the endometrin. I've had a little bit of cramping on and off and bloat from the meds. I go back for labs tomorrow am to check estrogen and progesterone so I'll mention it to nurse tomorrow. Just really hoping this is not a sign of an impending BFN and period.

    @jaztaz1 Do you remember the reason you were put on Lovenox? I can't remember what you said but I'm pretty sure it was a legit clotting issue. If so, yes... the entire pregnancy lol I don't have any clotting issues that warrant blood thinners (besides MTHFR but that's not usually treated with blood thinners) but after 5 cycles we didn't know what else to add so we added Lovenox. lol After I read your response I lifted up my shirt to see the bruise I got from last night and it's NASTY. I actually had my entire belly covered  in them and then decided to drive down to Florida to see my family last weekend. I spent a lot of time on the beach... when I got back inside my bruises were faded!? I was so confused and a little worried. I googled it and sure enough... the sun promotes something in the bruising causing it to start turning yellow. Crazy right? This new one looks DARK compared to the others now lol

    @BellaLux Actually 6dp5dt is NOT too late for implantation bleeding. I'm not trying ot get your hopes up b/c it can be anyhting but on 7dp5dt I had literally bright red blood on my undies. I was 100% sure it was over. I took a shower and climbed into bed with soakinig wet hair so sad and went to bed. Guess what? It worked! lol Hang in there girl! Stay positive!

    @callalilly30 thanks for posting for me today - i'm so sorry your us didn't go well  {{{Hugs}}}!!!

    @tptbabe that sucks i'm so sorry - but i'm glad your taking steps to help deal you work through this

    @spring78 my husband had very subdued reaction to - i believe his words were "that's good" - I think he is also being guarded - he said he'd be excited when it was born and healthy... I said the same as you - i'm going to be excited now

    @hernsy congrats!!!

    AFM: I had a bit of spotting last night and was a hot mess - but I had my U/S this morning and the tech and the nurse and the doc all assured me that a little spotting is normal.  The Ultrasound showed the baby measuring at 6 weeks 4day - so 2 ahead of schedule, and the heartbeat was 111bpm.  I'm not going to lie i'm still a wee bit worried but feeling much better!  u/s #2 is July 4th

    QOTD: I would have to say Arial - I loved the little mermaid!

    @CallaLily30‌ sending hugs...

    Following my scare this past Thursday, my RE wanted me in again today. Although I had no more bleeding after Thursday, he found a blood clot forming in my uterus. It is not affecting the baby and is only 1cm, but is still a concern. This would probably explain the spontaneous bleeding the other day. Just something else to worry about...

    The baby is looking great! Measuring a day behind the 7w2d I should be at. Heart rate was over 120.

    Every step of this process is so trying...

    Spring78 My DH acted the same way. He didn't start coming around until we had our u/s and met with the RE (we usually just deal w/ his nurses and the u/s tech).

    Hernsy Congrats!! FX for a great second beta!

    jaztaz1clguerra88 congrats on your great beta numbers!

    penad5 Glad everything looked good at the u/s. I can't tell you how many times i've had spotting and been worried.

    tarala I agree with you, every step of this process is trying. Every time I think things are going well something else happens that has me worrying all over again.

    AFM, since i'm traveling for work until 6/27 we don't have our next u/s until 6/30. I was fine w/ that plan until my plane touched down on Sunday and I went to the bathroom and saw a ton of blood in the toilet. I kept bleeding for several hours afterwards. It has stopped now. Even though our RE said that I could and probably would have bleeding at some point b/c of the loss of our twins it still freaked me out (all I've experienced so far was some spotting about once a week). I think the only reason i'm not totally freaking out right now about what is going on with our remaining LO is the fact that my symptoms are still so strong and getting worse (m/s is starting to kick my butt). I long for the day when we can go for more than a week without something to worry about, but I guess this is good training for the future as i'm sure i'll never stop worrying once we finally have a baby at home :)
