FF Babies

If you are FFing your baby, how many ounces are they taking and how often? I guess I also am wondering how old they are as well. I have looked at FF guides and I just think DS is eating too much so I wanted to see what others are doing at the moment.

    I have the same feeling but my pedi said it was fine. LO is 18 days and eating 3oz every 3 or so hours. He will occasionally eat 4oz if he has just cleared out his little tummy. I'm curious to hear how much your LO is eating??

    DD is 7 weeks old and takes 3 ounces every 3 hours during the day and 3-5 hours overnight. She used to eat 4 ounces of the Sensitive formula but dropped to 3 ounces when we switched her to the hypoallergenic Alimentum formula, not sure why.

    My pediatrician said a good guide is to take their weight in kilograms (divide pounds by 2.2) and round to the nearest whole number and that is how many ounces. So an 8 pound baby would get 4oz

    DS2 is 17 days old and we have been doing 3 oz bottles every 2-3 hours but I have noticed numerous times he starts to act hungry again after only an hour and a half or so, after downing the 3 oz. It just seemed like a lot. He typically only eats about an ounce more when this happens, so I think it is coming out to 4 oz for certain feedings. At night, he has been going 3-4 hrs and taking just 3 oz....it's just during the day he seems like he is constantly hungry and I worry he is getting too much. He is also on a sensitive formula as he was having horrible constipation and gas on the regular kind. Also, to the PP who mentioned eating in proportion with weight, he was 9 lb 9 oz at birth and I think he is around 10 lbs right now.

    @ksyknelvr73‌ I have the same issue during the day. He will eat 2oz and then stay awake for an hour and eat more.

    DS is 17 days old and eats 4-5 oz if we just give him formula, every 3 hours. He had trouble gaining weight so the pedi said to feed him as much as he'll take.

    Well, it seems as though maybe this isn't so odd or abnormal, but it sure seemed like a lot to me. It took DS almost a full 2 weeks to get back to birth weight but now that he is back up I was thinking he would level out with eating, but not so much. I think we are going to start offering 4 oz and then if he doesn't take it that is fine and if he does then hopefully he will be full for more than an hour and a half.

    My LO is 3wks and he eats 4oz every 3hrs, but at night time he sometimes stretches to 4hrs.

    DD is 5 weeks and takes 4oz every 3-4hra during the day and goes 6-7hra overnight after a 2oz "snack" around 10pm

    My LO will be 7 weeks on Tuesday and she is just now working up to 4 ounces every 3-4 hours. Unless she's cluster feeding.

    My son is 5 weeks and still eats 3-4 oz every 2-3 hours day and night.  I am jealous of those of you that have little ones sleeping longer stretches at night!!  : )

    My son turns 8 weeks tomorrow and is taking 4 ounces every 3-4 hours. Sometimes he will eat another ounce.

    DS is 2 weeks 4 days and drink close to 4 oz every 3 to 4 hours during the day and night. Sometimes he goes an hour and half and even wants more and screams until he gets more. Only thing that calms him down. Not sure if thats part of a growth spurt?
