We spent the weekend at MIL's house. It's been raining. Took us all morning to pack up and we're driving home now. It's less than an hour drive. Nothing planned for the afternoon really. the rain is ruining the day. And DD1 is sick so we'll probably just take it easy and hang out at home.

Spending the day remembering the fellow Soldiers my husband has lost in Afghanistan. Two little girls who never get to spend time with their father, another little girl who didn't understand why her father wasn't on the other end of the phone when it rang. I wish with all my might that my 3 day old daughter will grow up knowing her father, so ready for him to come home.

Sorry for the buzz kill, this is a day that hit close to home.

Happy Memorial Day. We are spending it relaxing, but like @dwnslde‌ said...remembering all of the men my husband knew and lost in Afghanistan, as well as family members who have died in the line of duty.
It's awesome to have a day with friends and family, but it's good to remember why we do.
Thanks to all of our service men and women who have given their lives so we can be here, bumping about ourselves and our babies, living free.

We took Brooke to go visit her two Great Grandpas who both served our country. Than went to my in laws for a cook out. It was a nice relaxing day in the beautiful sunshine! Summer weather has officially arrived in Cleveland!!
