Hi all! Congrats to all with good news and hugs to those who need them.

PAIF'er here. All is going pretty well! I will be 24w on Wednesday - v-day! Hard to believe it's really here. I finally felt baby kick right at 23w - she was a little slow on that which was a bummer, but thanks to my doppler I knew she was ok in there. About 7 years ago, I did have plastic surgery after a 100-lb weight loss so I do have some numbness in my belly, so that could have contributed, along with being a wee bit fluffy too. Anyhow, it's an exciting development for me! I do wonder a little if her XXX may be a reason, as lower muscle tone is typical in infancy - but who knows.

We got our registry done  shower list sent to my sister who is hosting, and started thinking on the nursery, even bought a Netto crib and changing table (screamin' deal on CL!)

QOTW: We have a few pieces of cool art we love - kind of modern text art that light up. Otherwise I think the best thing in our house is our cats! We have three, Odo, Dude & Manny!

Not much here just waiting for 2ww to fly by. Can't believe how calm I am but it does feel strange. All of this like its not really happening. Someone told me we all know the risks using DE but hope for the best

QOTW: Well my chubby cat Matrix would be one lol.

We are sort of on a holding pattern with our house. We wanted to wait after this cycle to begin decorating. My cat ruined our furniture so we haven't replaced that yet. Don't really have anything that is really cool!!!! Still in process of decorating! We bought it 4 years ago.

*****PAIF Warning*****

AFM: We had our 12w u/s last Thursday. It was our first appointment at the OB and we got to see Squirt on the u/s because we couldn't find a hb on the doppler (and gave me a nervous breakdown). Squirt was VERY squirmy! hb of 153 bpm so everything is looking good. Next appointment isn't until June 2nd!

Our GC told her daughters (ages 7 and 10) on Saturday. The youngest wanted to know all the details (how did they get HER eggs inside of you?) and oldest said, "I'm so proud of you Mom". Then they all went for ice cream lol. We are all so happy that this big conversation went well!

I'm still completely numb about the whole thing. I just want to meet with my RE so we can come up with a plan for our FET.

I am so grateful that we have 3 day 5 blasts frozen. They are literally the only reason I can keep going.

Qotw - my favorite 2 items in my house are pretty lame... My Keurig (my husband bought for me for Christmas years ago, it's just for me! He doesn't drink coffee!!) and our new couch. It's oversized and has enough room for us to cuddle!

Hi ladies!

PAIF update:

I'll be 26w on Thursday. Baby girl is kicking like crazy!!! In not-so-great news, I got diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes last week. It's a blessing that it's been caught and I can manage it because I was feeling really run down, dizzy, and nauseated much of the time. Now that I'm following the diabetic diet I'm realizing I'm feeling better. I have an appointment with an MFM tomorrow and I'm pretty sure based on my numbers for the past week he's going to put be on oral meds or insulin for it. I'm not thrilled about that, but I'm happy to do whatever I need to in order for me and baby to be healthy! 

QOTW: This is a hard one. Other than my loved ones like DH and pets and our new nursery lol...I'd maybe say my bathtub. It's a huge garden tub that is just divine to take a bubble bath and soak in. Maybe the other would be our pool table in our game room? Many a fun night have been spent with friends around it! We had fun decorating that room too:

AFM we have our lining check Thursday (3 days!) and if all is well, our FET will be a week from Wednesday (9 days!).

Check in: We had another ultrasound last Thursday. Sadly, our littlest bean didn't make it. We did see one very healthy baby though, so we are just trying to focus on the fact that we have a good strong heart beat and our little one is growing like a weed. In the course of 14 days, he/she went from measuring exactly 7 weeks to exactly 10 weeks. Crazy stuff. It's just been mixed emotions because we are celebrating the health and growth of one and dealing with the loss of the other one. 

QOTW: I painted a 5 drawer chest in my closet in the hombre style...blues. It's so neat and it was a true Pinterest success for me! We also have an adorable (and spoiled!) 8 year old black lab named Lager. Lastly, we have a picture from our ultrasound on the fridge. It still makes me grin like an idiot every time I look at it (which is quite often because I like to eat!).

Hey ladies!  This board is so busy and I am rooting for each of you! 

We are waiting on our pgd results.  Even though we have lots of frosties I am still super nervous. I should start AF this weekend and start my FET cycle.  FET should be around May 20th still. 

I did get a call that my donor had a severe case of OHSS and had to go to the ER over the weekend.  She is doing better now but I feel so sorry that she is having to go through it. 

QOTW:
I love my bed... it is one of those fancy ones that goes up and down, massages etc... We bought it 2 years ago when I thought I would be getting pregnant soon- ha!  Well it is still a great bed pregnant or not.  I also love my kitchen.  It is a dream kitchen.  When we were house hunting I walked in and saw the kitchen and screamed- this is our house!  My husband took a tiny bit more convincing

PAIF Check-In: I had a great OB appt last week and got to see the babies. The u/s tech was just supposed to do a vaginal u/s to check my cervix, but then offered to do an abdominal one to look at the babies and she printed pics for me. But holy moly, out of the 100s of vag u/s I've had never has anyone used so much gel! I had my mom in stitches telling her about that experience. At my next appt I may request a bidet or a shower stall be put in her restroom!! Tomorrow is the fetal echo for my girl twin and I hope that goes well. I also hope they'll let us see more of the babies since DH will be there and always misses the u/s that are good quality.

ETA: Fetal Echo was moved to Friday. I've been waiting almost a month for this appt, so I was ready to get it done with. Just a few more days...

Wow, everyone is going through so much on here! I am happy to find a group I can be a part of during this process! Sending good T&Ps to everyone on here in your journeys.

As for any check-in the injections are going well, at the appointment in 3 days I am going to request only transferring one embryo per transfer and I hope everyone takes it well. The actual transfer is the 23rd, the fertility center is 2.5 hours away so it needed to happen on a weekend so we could get a hotel room. Even though it's a month away it feels like it is so soon! I am excited to be able to do this for her. Oh, and I still need to find someone to watch my daughter while the transfer is taking place, my husband can't get out of work!

For the QOTW: We have a 4 piece painting over our fireplace that I love, I got it off of etsy and it's the first piece of artwork we got for our new home. If I knew how to post a pic I would, lol.

@2MamazInSeattle‌ I didn't feel my girls until late also and no one could feel them on the outside either! Being fluffy doesn't help! Haha

I'm in an excruciating 2WW. I started testing last Friday and nothing despite every text book early symptom out there. I'm also now a day late on my period give or take, today is 29 days since LMP and my cycle is usually between 25-28 days so I'm just wondering what's up. My poor IP's are prob going crazy waiting also!!!

AFM: I caught a terrible stomach bug on Easter from my sister and ended up in the hospital for extreme dehydration last week. It was miserable. I'm 8w5d today and had another u/s.. Both babies measure fine and have HBs of 170 but Baby B's gestational sac is smaller than it should be. Of course I'm worried.. I was told to repeat it in a week but didn't get any other feedback. Dr Google tells me it could go either way. My RE doesn't release until really late (10-11 weeks) but Im trying to get an appt with an OB as Im not that comfortable with second hand reports at this stage.

Favorite thing in house: my cats? We sold the house I loved last fall and are in DH's house from before we got married right now. I do not like this house....I guess my favorite thing is my inexpensive mortgage payment....

QOTD: my favorite thing in our house is our cat, Nibbles. I love her to dearth, but I am a little scared of how she will react to Gracie. Nibbles is used to being the queen of the house.

Hi Girls, I'm sending you all lots of luck and thank you for having me here. We're still figuring things out. We went for our D-EG consult today... it was tough. My head knows what the best move is, but my heart is miles apart. I don't see how it could ever catch up. We left the appointment, and all I could think was that I'm not doing this. But after getting home, burying myself under the covers, and crying myself to sleep, I thought about DH. I just feel so guilty that I can't give him a child the old fashioned way. 

It is comforting to see how so many of you are navigating your journeys with such grace... I hope I can get there someday. Right now, I feel like running away and becoming a hermit in the woods. This is so hard!

Counting down the days till my US appt on May 1st to see how many sacs we have. I am considered 6w3d, so far things are going well no sickness or nausea. FX cross to everyone out there.

We have a sports rec room. All of my favorite things are in there that my DH and I have collected at different ball parks. I also have a beautiful hand carved cross that we got as a wedding present that I love.

daydreamer34254   I can relate.  Accepting DE  is a process and takes time.  It took me over a year and some very dark times and boat loads of tears to accept it.  You have to grieve.  It is so hard.  I still have my moments when I get sad about it.  We are all here to support and encourage you.

Thank you, @ksgsmu. I don't think I was ready to go to the DE consult yesterday, but I'm glad we did. I like that we have more information, even if it was hard to hear it. But you are right in that I must respect the grieving process and give myself the time I need before moving on. 

I am collecting a list of questions for my RE and plan to reach out to him soon. Maybe I'm just getting desperate... I feel like I need at least a few answers if I'm ever going to be at peace about this. 

Does anyone have any recommendations for places to start? I learned about my current clinic's DEgg program, but am wondering if I should look around. What exactly should I look for in an DEgg program?

daydreamer34254  I am not much help on the picking a program but I would recommend looking at ALL your options as far as if you want to do an in house donor or agency.  My clinic doesn't have  an in house pool.  They told me they highly recommended 3 agencies and gave me their contact info.  I looked at the pros and cons of each agency but ulitmatly it was the selection of donors that pulled me to the agency I went with.  I had more options and the donors just looked better.  I was able to see baby pictures, adult pictures and even pictures of her parents and siblings.  This was important to me.  We compared prices of course but donor pool was what made me pick one.

I would also recommend pved.org as it has excellent resources for donor parents.

AFM, here is my PAIF update:







Just kind of chugging along at 16 weeks and 5 days. Part of me doesn't believe I've made it this far and even though we announced to family at Easter, I'm still nervous to admit this is really happening. I guess it's normal PAIF brain, LOL. We actually did an elective u/s at 15 weeks and found out we're team BLUE!!! So now I'm just waiting until the next milestone, which is the anatomy scan...but it seems soooo far away since it's not scheduled until the end of May.

QOTW: I really like the wedding collage I put together in my hallway. It's a mix of pictures from our wedding, a framed invitation with guest signatures, a framed wedding program and a few shadowboxes (one of which has my husband's dried boutonnière and another with the rhinestone barrette that I wore on my wedding day). On the opposite wall, I recently added a piece of wall art (from Etsy) with part of the lyrics from our wedding song.

Hi everyone

We've decided to pursue egg donation. It is a bit of a long process in Australia so in the meantime we will do one final cycle with our own eggs- even though we know the chances are slim. This will help us with closure and also allow us to get all the boxes ticked in preparation for an egg donor.

QOTD: I have an old carved wooden toy of a cow from Nepal that I love and also like an old wooden cabinet I got for $5 at a clearing sale

Update: Monday I had my lining check and it was 10.2 (my best ever!). Tomorrow the ED has an appt and I should find out the date of my transfer.

QOTW: last year we remodeled our kitchen and I LOVE IT. It's my favorite thing in the house right now. As far as knick-knacks, we have a wooden plaque that we got on our honeymoon in St. Lucia that has the Pitons carved into it. I have it hanging in our downstairs bathroom, along with a picture of the beach. I would love to go back!

A little update about me:
I'm 27 weeks tomorrow.  Having a girl and we couldn't be happier about that.  We have a name picked out but not telling anyone the name until she's born.  She kicks a lot and really likes for you to know she's here....my tummy is big!!  Overall I'm happy about the little miracle inside me but I've had a rough pregnancy thus far.  So happy I get to experience this process and I wish I were embracing it as well as others but I've been blessed that she's growing healthily and happily inside me and I can't wait to meet her!! 

QOTW: When DH and I bought the house we bought a new sleigh bedroom set and bar style kitchen table.  I love that table!!  I sit there for no reason at all!  Lately I've been planting flowers so I'm hoping my garden becomes a favorite spot too!

Hi guys! Sorry that I took so long to write this, I've had a busy, busy week!

Check In: Beta #2 on Wednesday's results were 429! So a doubling rate of about every 36 hours, at the moment. My doctor also told me that although currently they can only prove I'm at least 16 days pregnant, that I should not be surprised if at the time of my 6 week scan, I'm actually closer to 6 1/2 weeks, not that makes all that much difference.

QOTW: My dad is an illustrator for children's books, and for my PhD graduation, he wrote out and illustrated the saga of Erik the Red, in old Icelandic, and make it a book for me so that's my favourite thing in my house. Except from my kitten.
