Pregnant after IF

Terrible night

Last night I woke up around 11:15 to use the bathroom, I have been peeing constantly all day.  When I got to the toilet I felt a gush, I thought I had peed my pants (which I couldn't believe) but when I took my pants off I was covered in blood.  I sat down on the toilet and passed a tennis ball size blood clot.  Needless to say I freaked.  I called the doctor on call and he said he was concerned I was bleeding so heavy.  He suggested if the bleeding continues at that rate to go to the ER but if it slows down to hold off until the office opens tomorrow and see a doctor in the practice.  I struggled with what to do but I decided to wait it out (with the agreement that if it got worse we would head to the ER).  WHAT A LONG NIGHT!

I got to see a doctor this morning and also had an ultrasound.  There was the baby jumping around without a care.  What a roller coaster.  Heart rate measuring 175 which the doctor was really pleased about but it was only measuring 9w6d when I should be 10w6d based on all the other ultrasounds from my RE.  The doctor said as long as it was within a 10 day window they weren't concerned.  I was told to take it easy until Monday and I go back next Thursday for a follow up.  The doctor also said he doesn't know why I was bleeding and we might never know.

Should I be concerned that its measuring a week behind?

So sorry you are dealing with this. The bleeding sounds scary. I wouldn't be as worried about measuring behind with such a strong heartbeat as I would if there were other signs of trouble. I've definitely seen ladies with the same issue who have had successful pregnancies. Good luck.

I would take the great heartbeat and not worry so much about measuring behind. Babies go through growth spurts at different times and might just not have had one yet or the person measuring could have been off. I never measured on track but the baby always had great heartbeats. I'm sorry your dealing with this scariness.

I'm so sorry. That sounds absolutely terrifying. The heart beat sounds very encouraging, though. Rooting for your little bean!

I'm sorry that happened, must've been really scary.  It sounds like things are OK for now though, and if your Dr isn't worried, as hard as it is, I'd try to focus on the positive for now if you can.

Sorry you had such a scary night! I agree with pp about holding onto the fact that your HB is fantastic and not put soo much stock in the measurements. With different u/s machines and techs it's easy to get different measurements that early on.
