Separation issues with LO

LO is 14 weeks and recently has been bursting into "scream mode" when I leave her sight. I admit I have been very attached with her since birth. I work every other weekend and she has been fine up until this past weekend. I feel so bad for her 
I know that she HAS to get used to me not being around her constantly. She will be going to daycare in August and I don't want her to scream all day every day. Any suggestions on how to gently get her used to me not being with her all of the time? I hate the "cry it out" method, it breaks my heart!
