Coffee to all! We had a pretty good night but I think DD1 is getting an ear infection. She has tubes and went swimming this weekend and now has been complaining of ear pain. Hopefully her drops do the trick and I don't have to take her in.
@Mamasighs my DH is the same way. Seriously he doesn't get that sex is not high on my priority list and that when bedtime rolls around I'm exhausted and just want to sleep. Making me feel guilty makes me want sex even less!
I don't know what the issue was last night but G was pissed. Woke up 6 times and would not go back in his crib without screaming. After two hours of this I ask DH to help. It took him two minutes before he was yellying JFC. Thanks asshat. That helped out a lot. He got to go back to sleep and I stayed up with G. Of course I work 1230-9p tonight. Gonna be dragging.
@Mamasighs DH does the same thing. Sometimes he waits until I have gotten in bed and am half way asleep before trying to get frisky. No Mr. b that isn't how this works!
I don't know what to about it either. I think AF is coming soon so that will buy me some more time.
Our local thrift store has a "fill a big bag with as much stuff as you want for 20$" event today. BF will be waiting with LO in the ice cream store across the street (yay for JP Licks!) so I can get up to my elbows in stuffy clothing piles without being distracted by LO. BF gets ice cream, I get cool fabric for future projects. I call that a win-win.
There must be something in the air. E alternated 15 minutes of sleep with one hour of crying all night. At 4 AM I gave up at putting him back down and we slept in the recliner. I think he is finally cutting his first tooth.
DH was pulling weeds in the yard on Sunday, and then came inside to take a shower. He took care of himself in the shower. Well, it turns out that those weeds were poison ivy. He has a rash on his hands, AND on his junk. LOL. That's my excuse for not wanting sex lately.

We've had ok sleep but Alex is younger than a lot of your LO's. I got tons done yesterday cleaning wise, but had to rely on Abby to entertain the baby. It only half-way worked. He crawled after me whining while I cleaned. It has to happen though.
Another day of organizing. This move has been a real bitch.

Also sex is important, but I explained to my husband that by the end of the day I'm touched out. If the night sucks or evening even, I just want to lay there without anyone (including him) wanting anything from me.
Thankfully my H is not a pouter or guilter with sex. He'd just persistent. Every night until I get it done or tell him to beat it.
Since H has had a week alone with the babies before I think he understands the exhaustion. He called his parents to help then & anytime he has to parent alone for more than a day.
My kid was only up 3 times last night. I if course was up from 4 to 6 because I am not use to this much sleep lol.
Sorry to all the mommas having stressful nights.
This was exactly us! Kid finally lets go of the boob for a night and I'm wide awake watching him snooze.

Another rough night from us too. However, I made a bunch of iced coffee the other day. It should last through the afternoon This is one of those days when basic functions are all that can be expected. Haha!
@PrimRoseMama right there with you on being tired of being touched and being needed. Yesterday DH was rubbing my leg while we were sitting on the couch. He didn't even want anything, but I irrationally wanted to scream at him to stop touching me. I don't feel this way every day, but the boys have been barnacles and school and work are really getting to me.
Alex and l just shared a cupcake for second breakfast. I have frozen all the rest of the left over cupcakes but this one had a peep on it so l didn't think it would freeze well. He finished the bottom half in no time. It was his first cupcake. I would say he enjoyed it.
My kid just learned how to pull himself up a week ago, and today he wanted to have a spoon in each hand while helping me with the dishwasher and decided to LET GO. Luckily he just fell on his butt, but slow down baby! Confidence is exceeding the skills with this one...

@NKaeding - L has recently started inhaling food, as well. This morning she had half of a (huge) croissant, an egg, and yogurt.
I am currently working on the pre-housekeeper cleanse. I love having her come but I hate that I have to pick everything up before she gets here :P #fwp

Happy hump day ladies. Can I get some coffee over here too? The long-ish stretches of sleep eluded us last night. The lack of sleep leads to lack of patience in getting the boys ready for DC (DS1 of course)--he was having a rough morning and a meltdown over wanting to turn off the lamp in the nursery after I finished dressing DS2. The lamp wasn't on. He had to go turn it on and then turn it off again. Once we finally got downstairs he said, "Mom, I just want to go to the 'cago. " (apparently I am not the only one looking forward to our trip to Chicago next week ).
After 5.5 long months, teething has returned to the Mimi household. (
Luke is eating a ton, too! Like, so much I don't understand it. Just flipped a switch. Two weeks ago offering anything besides purees or Cheerios made him highly offended. Yesterday: 5 bottles, a whole YoBaby, fruit&veggie pouch, sips of my smoothie, chicken, a ton of cheerios, a ton of hummus, bites of cheese, half a soft oatmeal bar. He didn't finish his last bottle and we had a small vomit overnight, but considering the monstrous amount he ate I'm pretty ok with that. We cut his TPN calories by 10% and he's up half a pound in the last week!

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Also, Luke ate yogurt for breakfast this morning. And then pooped right after breakfast.
His first big poop grunt made yogurt come out his nose....

DS finally seems a little better from his sinus infection. But of course, DD woke up coughing. When will it end!?
DH needs to get his vasectomy and then I will be all over his ass. Right now I just have a panick attack after every time even though we use protection.
@fabk I wonder what your sister would think of that??? :-@
I'm touched out by the end of that day and my SO doesn't understand it either, frustrating.
I'm meeting up with a girl who I used to know but we've lost touch. She's actually my BFF's stepsister. She had a little boy in September so our LO's are close in age... I'm nervous to meet up with her but I'm excited about the possibility of a new mommy friend. We're going to walk a trail together with the boys
A friend of mine just announced that she's due in December with #6. All of her kids are boys and the asinine "omg I hope it's a girl" comments are making me irrationally stabby.
Jadzia is far from the snuggly cuddly type...sad...but she was fussing so I picked her up and thats what she wanted Just to be held for a few min I could have done without the snot and drool she wiped across my shirt though
@somerandomchick I know, RIGHT??? Salliemae was the worst and I hated them because they didn't send me monthly invoices. I just paid that loan off this past month and good riddance!
Now, I have one loan left through Discover and they're awesome. I have it auto debited from my account and they're always easy to get in touch with over the phone. Plus, their website is very easy to access and use.
@mystererae I dislike paying my health insurance because it's so expensive, but necessary.
I left my lunch sitting in the garage and realized it after I plowed through my healthy snacks for the day. Jimmy John's won't disclose allergens in their food, the healthy safe place has a $30 delivery minimum, and campus options stink. I just found a pack of oreos in a closet here. Who knew they didn't have milk or egg?
yup, when I was cutting out dairy while BFing LO I was delighted (for once) that oreos were the pinnacle of processedness.
At the Easter egg hunt in our neighborhood (thankfully nowhere near 10k people) the rules were 5 eggs per kid and, after having taken out the treats, to please give back the plastic cases for next year's hunt. After all, who needs all those plastic eggs once they're found and emptied?
Apparently, one mom did. She and 4 of her kids left the event, each kid with one BIG basket filled to overflow with those eggs. My BF and I just looked at each other, agog: "did that really just happen?" "Why isn't anyone saying anything?"
It was only that family, though, so I guess losses were small. One of the organizers told us later that there were gift cards for local businesses hidden in some of the eggs and she saw parents take those eggs away from kids when they saw what was in them.
*sigh*
The organizers kept putting out eggs so even kids who weren't there for the "first wave" had a chance to find eggs. Or, in our case, for babies who sat under a tree and thought sticks were much more fun than eggs.

I would actually like one right now.
Last night was rough. Need more coffee.
