With new babies all around we're bound to have some funny and cute stories about our husbands/SOs. Tell us your favorite!
My DH is so wonderful with getting Kara to sleep. Absolutely amazing. It's like he had this hidden talent all along.... BUT! When he sings or hums to her, he only knows Christmas songs. Seriously. He sings Silent Night, O Little Town of Bethlehem, etc. But it works so I can't complain lol!
For about two weeks after Lo was born my husband would tell everyone how no one told him that the umbilical cord stump stayed on the belly button for a few weeks. It was pretty funny.
He is also really good at getting her to fall asleep. She sleeps in a cosleeper in our bed and they stare at each other for hours while he waits for her to fall asleep.
I love watching H put on cloth diapers. Prefolds are the best but I get a kick watching him doing the snaps on our one size pockets! The first time he was putting a prefold on Colton he got peed on than got out a new diaper was trying to get that one on and got pooped on. At least he let at it and is getting better!
This doesn't have to do with the baby. But the other day we had one of our good friends over. We were all talking about the baby and me having her. I made a comment about how I wish my body just went back to its pre-pregnancy state. My husband then said "I don't. You just had a baby and it's like re-vamped your body. Everything looks and feels better". It made me so happy considering I'm 15 lbs heavier than I was pre-pregnancy, not to mention my belly stretch marks and my not so taught stomach. I have been feeling horrible about it, but I guess DH has been loving it. I love him.
I might have shared this before but it makes me so happy!
The whole pregnancy i kept joking about how i didn't have the "glow" So like the day after my CS he was like amy did you put on make-up? You look glowing. It made my heart happy because i felt like crap!
Like @Rad&Co my husband is a mans man. Hunting, fishing, hiking, all the sports. We now have a little girl who he is constantly in awe of. The other day I was getting ready in the bathroom & overheard him say to her "here's the Easter bunny binky. Take the Easter bunny binky!" in full blown baby talk. Made my heart melt!
My husband went from wanting two kids max to five after our LO was born. He's our first baby and my husband definitely had no clue how much he was going to love him until he was born lol. We're not having five kids by the way!
LO loves to do tummy time on my husband's chest. She holds her head up the longest when she is with my husband for some reason. It's really cute because my husband loves it and is always so proud of LO. Also my husband started calling LO sweet cakes and I think it's adorable.
DH is also very much a man's man - loves hunting and outdoor anything, etc. We have two little girls and they just have their daddy's heart in their tiny little hands. He does anything for them. Last night, DD1 decorated her horse with daddy's hat and glasses :-)
Just melts my heart when he walks in through the door in the evening, picks up DD1, gives her a big hug, me a kiss and coos at the LO, "How are my girls?"
My DH plays a game with DS, I call it doink. He will put his nose to DS's nose and says doink. DS smiles and coos.. It is so cute!!

H insisted that Charlie should have a comb-over on Easter Sunday, and even packed the brush in the diaper bag before church because "his hair will get messed up in the carseat". If he's like this with C, I can't imagine what he'd be like if we had a girl!
And I just have to share this sweet picture
Haha, my H wouldn't let me fix DS hair on Easter. He said I'm a girl and would mess it up. I also had to pack the brush to fix it once we got there. Lol

DH is such an amazing father. As I was recovering from my c-section and struggling with milk supply, he would take MOTN feedings so I could pump and then sleep. Watching him with our boys melts my heart every time.
ETA: We are sitting in bed just now and DH is holding Eli who is passed out cold. I looked over and DH was looking down at Eli and softly stroking his hair.
Married 11/23/11, TTC starting 10/12, BFP#1 11/30/12, Adoption of stepson finalized 03/19/13,Loss of our daughter at 20w4d due to incompetent cervix 03/27/13, BFP#2 06/28/13, DS2 born 3/1/14.
My husband is learning lots as a first time dad. The other day he took Layla between cluster feeds and lay her down on the couch next to him. She was (happily) kicking and swinging her arms. He looks up at me, concern all over his face, and asked:

I absolutely love how my DH plays with Abby. I remember the first time I met my stepdaughter (Lilly), she was 8 months old...and I had no idea how to play with a baby. He definitely won my heart watching him play with her, and it just brings back all those wonderful feelings watching him play with Abby now. He has her lay on his chest and he waves her arms around and makes her do baby kicks...but I think my favorite is when he holds her so her feet are just barely touching the ground and he sings and makes her dance. I pretty much melt into a puddle on the floor! :x
My heart melts everytime I hear my husband tell our LO how gorgeous she is. He wasn't as sure as I was about having kids, so I love seeing him enjoy being a Dad. She is already a daddy's girl!
My husband is a mans man he hunts, fishes, plays hockey and baseball. But when The girls (age 2) want to play with their toy hairdresser stuff he is always a willing participant. It's so cute watching them "make daddy pretty". They have him wrapped around their pinky fingers.

Awww! This remind me that my dad used to play Pretty, Pretty Princess with me and my cousins :-)
My dh has been so awesome with both of us! He washes my pump parts every day, pours the milk and makes the BM bottles to feed lo with, holds him and sings to him when he thinks I cant hear, wakes up at night when lo cries and either feeds him with a bm bottle or just lays with me and watches lo eat, takes him for cuddles, and is just all around amazing.
also, on a grosser note... I pooped SO MUCH during pushing lo out. like..... SO much. and the nurses had me moving around a ton to try and get lo out, so I got poo all over my side without even realizing it. DH cleaned me. now that is a solid marriage!
Last night, after I nursed LO, I asked DH to rock him to sleep so I could take a shower. LO falls asleep pretty easily when he's rocked so I figured he'd already be down by the time I came out.
I came out and DH was still holding him, LO was wide awake. He looked at me sheepishly and said, "I know I was supposed to put him to sleep, but he started playing with me. So he's still awake and it's completely my fault. But it was so cute!!"
I thought of another one. DH is a pilot (non-commercial) and when he's changing him or bring him to me to nurse, he talks in pilot lingo. Like "flaps up" are the tabs on the diaper, and clear for runway is landing at the boob for feeding It's really funny!!

Hahaha! Hilarious!
