Where to Nap?

Not sure if there is already a thread on this but I'm a FTM and am wondering where I should have my 6wk old nap. I have had him both in his crib or on a blanket on the floor or in the boppy lounger. Is there a recommend spot for them to nap at?

same place they're sleeping at night at.  Some where safe.  I would be hesitant to let my LO sleep on the floor, but we have 2 rambunctious dogs.  I would say the crib is the safest place, IMO.

It all depends on what we are doing. Sometimes she naps on the floor (no pets or other kids). Sometimes the swing, or the pack n play. Sometimes the stroller, or the carseat while we are out and about. Or the moby. Or my arms!

Both of my other kids only napped in their cribs. This sleepy girl will nap anywhere. I'm a fan of getting baby used to sleeping in their cribs ASAP.

Hi, I'm currently pregnant, our LO hasn't arrived yet. However when the LO comes we plan to use the crib for sleeping at night/day (naps). The reason is we live in a bungalow style home. Everything is close by. I guess it depends on some homes. A friend had so many stairs that they had a PNP in their Living room. I guess it varies. I'm also in agreement with the previous post. Our goal is to get this LO used to the crib asap. We also have a dog so this way we know our LO would get uninterrupted sleep! (Hopefully!)

We use the RNP for naps during the day.  He'll also nap in the carseat or in the Ergo.  If he's really fussy sometimes I'll just put him in the Ergo and walk around the house.

If he'll take naps in his crib, then I'd just use that.

My LO is 6 weeks old and she's not a very good napper. The majority of the time she naps on me or cuddled up next to me but sometimes I can get her to nap in her bassinet.
I would say it's okay for your LO to nap anywhere that's safe. When DS was an infant, for several months the only place he would nap was in his swing. When he outgrew the swing, we transitioned him to napping in his crib and by then he was pretty good about it.

I let Dominic nap wherever he's most comfortable. Sometimes it's the swing, sometimes the bouncer, sometimes while I'm wearing him in my Boba wrap, but most of the time it's his bassinet or crib. He used to nap a lot in my arms or on my chest, but that was when I first came home from the hospital and was in bed frequently.

In the beginning she napped in my arms or in her RNP, and slept at night in a cosleeper next to the bed.  At about 8 weeks I started putting her down for naps in her crib so she would be used to sleeping there before she outgrows the cosleeper and starts sleeping there at night.
