sleep apnea while pregnant

so last night my husband tells me he thinks I stop breathing while I'm sleeping . apparently I'm snoring loud and then hold my breath for a while and it's been happening for a couple days.... I do wake up gasping a lot so it makes me worry. yay somthing new to tell my dr. I'm not overweight and sleep propped up on my side so gees idk! does anyone here have this issue?

Sounds like classic apnea. I'd mention it to your ob/dr to monitor it. A sleep study would be performed probably to see how bad you have it, but I wonder if it will go away after LO is born.

If the snoring is new during pregnancy, I'd mention the apnea to your doctor but wait and see what happens afterward, like a PP said. Once all of the swelling goes down, hopefully everything goes back to normal.
