Intro (recent loss)

Hi ladies. My name is Margaret and I wanted to introduce myself. I'm 41 and have been TTC#1 since June 2012 with the assistance of a RE. I am also on the TTC after 35 board. I am currently going through a m/c (still waiting to pass the tissue) that was confirmed at 6 weeks ( on DH's birthday). My doc said it could take up to two weeks. Just curious how long it has taken others and if there are any natural remedies to speed up the process. I just want to get through so to reset my body. I'm trying to see the positive from this experience but struggle emotionally everyday. I've read a lot of your posts, and look forward to learning, sharing and supporting all of you.

i'm so sorry for your loss.  i don't have any answers for you as i didn't have a mmc...i didn't even know there was a problem till it had already started on its own.  i agree with the PPer about the miscarriage/loss board, and the sticky post at the top with the shared experiences threads.  it was very helpful for me.

So sorry for your loss. I had a mmc, but ended up doing a D&C because I was cramping severely and not bleeding. I was physically miserable (emotionally goes without saying). I have read that raspberry leaf tea can help.

My 1st loss happened really quick, it only took a week. My 2nd loss, my body never recognized it so I got the D&C because I couldn't stand waiting anymore to move on. I'm so sorry you have to even worry about this

My first loss was a MMC and I chose to have a D&C as opposed to waiting it out. I had two natural m/cs and knew because I was already bleeding so I don't have any advice to offer. I will say that of all four of my losses, the D&C was the least painful/uncomfortable of all of them. I would think it is different for each person though. I hope things move along quickly for you so you can start the healing process.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I also had a mmc and it can be very draining both physically and emotionally. Mine ended up happening pretty quickly, so unfortunately I don't have any advice on natural remedies. Sending you hugs. Welcome to the board!

Thanks again for the warm welcomes and advice. Still waiting it out...went in for blood work this morning to see if my levels have gone down. It's crazy to think that I want to see AF when all of the other times I prayed to not see it. Life can be funny that way.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've had a natural mc and d&c. The natural mc happened early and quickly after the u/s had confirmed everything. Your dr can give you something to start it if it doesn't happen soon or I think if emotionally the waiting is too much. GL to you (((hugs)))

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss (((hugs))). With my last m/c, I had been on progesterone supplements for about a week. The m/c happened about one week after stopping the supplements.

ETA - you may want to ask for an RX for pain pills. My natural m/c was not that bad pain wise (just some intense cramps) but I ended up with pretty bad back pain afterwards.

So sorry for your loss. For me, it started happening within a week. I think my brain really needed to register it for my body to do its part. The waiting is awful. ((hugs))
