Moms of toddlers or anyone - birthday question

When do you send birthday invites?

Dd1s third birthday party is June 8. I wish I could send our evite now - I know it's too early. I am thinking first week of may - may 3 or 4. Is that too early? Can i get awAy with April at all? I know I am crazy for worrying about something do trivial but it's what I'm thinking about. I worry about summer plans interfering with it for others this year for some reason. Anyway - your opinion is welcome.

I guess with the new baby - I really want to make sure she has a special day with friends that is all about her

I do think it is ok to give a heads up now via email or text if you want. We usually do bc so many of his friends and cousins have Bdays around the same time. I'm a total AW about my June bday and already booked dinner reservations and let my friends know :)

I would do 4 weeks in the mail notice, but give people a verbal heads up prior to invites going in the mail if you can.

If people have a conflict, then it doesn't really matter whether you send the invites early, right?

I send an email to aunts/uncles and call grandparents to save the date as soon as we have a date in mind.

The formal invite goes out a month in advance, and whoever makes it, that's cool.

X's birthday party is May 17 and I sent them the last week in March so about a month and a half early.  I did this mostly because we invited his daycare class and had already received a May birthday invite.  Selfishly, I didn't want anyone to "take" our weekend :)

We've gotten them in a wide range from school - some as early as we did (1.5 months early), some as late as the week before... I guess I'd wait until at least next weekend before sending it out.

I check with grandparents first before setting the date. Then send invites about 3-4 weeks prior.
