I recently moved DS to his own room and he actually STTN! That was two nights ago, last night he ate once...but I can tell that he's going longer stretches and maybe STTN will become more frequent soon I hope.
However, that means that my boobs are severely engorged and I'm very uncomfortable by 5 or 6 am. I tried hand expressing in the sink for quite a while but that wasn't enough relief so I ended up having to get my pump out and do that for a little bit. This is definitely not ideal since I hardly ever use my pump and I'd rather be laying in bed catching up on sleep..
He still eats so much during the day, every 2 hours or so, so it's a big deal to go 9+ hours at night time..
Do any of you have thoughts/suggestions?

I had this problem when B first started sleeping through the night...it worked itself out over the course of a few days, though. Assuming your LO STTN consistently, your body will get the message and regulate your supply. Pumping/hand-expressing much more than a little bit will just encourage your body to produce more milk, so try not to do that if you can help it.
It should get better within a few days, hang in there
I thought hand expressing didn't affect supply? I know pumping can and that's why I try to avoid it, but I got a plugged duct for the first time a few weeks ago and OMG did it hurt!

Hmm so I don't know but O has been sttn since month 3 and I still feel like mine are engorged in the mornings as I feel like mine have never evened itself out! So I'm not sure but hopefully you will find relief soon!
