What are you thankful for today?

I realized that I am becoming one of those mommies that ONLY talks about her kids. I mean I can work LO and DS1 into any conversation. I am sure it annoys some folks but that doesn't bother me. However I believe its very important to maintain an identity other than mother.  So let's play:

 What are you thankful for today? NBR edition

I am thankful for:

Being able to work from home part time because I don't have to put on real pants!

DH getting a promotion and hopefully spending more time at home.

The sun is shining and things are starting to sprout outside! I can't wait to plant a garden this year!!

I'm thankful for my wonderful parents. They're driving an hour each way to come help me out for a bit, as I have an important phone call and don't really need a baby fussing in the background. Although I'm sure they aren't heartbroken to be able to visit with their adorable grandson. I'm also thankful that they only come over when invited

I'm thankful for my maternity leave being in the spring. It's such a beautiful time of year to be outside playing with DS while DD chills on a blanket in the grass (oops...I mentioned my kids - you're right, it's hard not to!)

Okay, here's a NBR one. I'm thankful for the beautiful weather and am looking forward to evenings on the patio drinking wine/beer with DH (there we go, nailed it!)

I'm thankful for my mom's offer to watch the kids so I can go to DH's conference with him this year. It's at the end of August and will be in Vail this year, so it will be nice to get away for a night or two (I don't know how long yet) without having to go too far, and on someone else's dime!

I am thankful for my inlaws. They flew from South Dakota on Friday to help with the boys as I transitioned back to work on Monday. My MIL is staying 3 weeks to help us and they are wonderful.

-milk and the warm chocolate chip cookies that just came out of my oven. I totally won't eat all 12 of them today. :-\"

-two old friends I've started talking to again.

-you guys!

-and the 5 loads of clean laundry I now have after a morning of hard work.

Non food related gets a little trickier... apparently I can't not talk about food! ;-) but Iamthankful for my husband, who works incredibly hard to support our family (I work as well, but he's the primary breadwinner).

And I'm thankful for our washer and dryer. And oxiclean stain stick. This is sorta kid related. ;-)

Dh's work giving us kick ass health insurance.

DH being open to moving back to my home town so I can be close to my friends and family while he's away at work.

Also thankful that we got the house I really really wanted!!

This is somewhat kid related. But today I was really thankful that DSs school kept carpool open longer b/c of an accident that tied up traffic. Because I really didn't want to haul 3 kids into the front office to check him in while I was dressed like this...

I'm thankful for

1. The awesome honey balsamic chicken that I'm making for dinner.

2. Line dancing lessons with my sister on Friday. I suck, but I love the music and when all else fails there's beer.

3. Easter with my family. It's a super laid back holiday and i get ham and lasagna. Score!

I'm thankful for my husband for indulging my in my aquarium hobby.

Also, thankful fir my cats. They make me giggle every day and are awesome cuddle buddies.

...that we're going out for dinner with friends tonight.

...that dh's company gave him a $25 wegmans gift card for Easter. Groceries on them. Plus they provide us with damn good health insurance which has been great the last few months.

...that my sis and bil made the long drive home to be here for lo's baptism.

...that my kitties were snugly during today's nap time.

@Stophoney‌ you're right...I guess I have a one track mind nowadays... So I am also thankful for netflix so I can watch all 9 seasons of grey's anatomy (which I had never seen before) and I'm thankful for my husband who works very hard 6 days a week and has no time to himself and rarely complains
