I'm talking about a discrepancy of days here really, but I'm just wondering so I can sort out in my mind where we are in terms of Weeks/Days and our RE hasn't helped things by muddling it up!
Please help me sort this out! I just want to follow along on the apps and in the pregnancy-day-by-day things....
According to the RE - by some method I'm not sure of, that she is basing on the transfer - we are 7w1d today.
However, she gave us an EDD of October 26 based on her wheel..... which would put us at 7w4d...
Our Egg Retrieval was Feb 4 - and if we calculate that as a projected ovulation date we get an EDD of October 28 - that would make us 7w2d today.
And finally, the babies are measuring 7w0d and 6w6d (which is consistent with the last u/s as well).
This is totally silly I know. I just am confused as to how there is any discrepancy at all when we know that on Feb 4 we retrieved and fertilized the eggs, and on Feb 7 we put back 2 - Day 3 embryos.....

My RE and OB will always have different dates. My RE bases it on ET date, so according to him, I am 10w today. My OB counts ER as O date and goes backward from LMP (lame) so according to them I am 9w6d. I stimmed for 10 days - then add 2 for O and 1 for ER, the LMP isn't that far off from a true LMP calculation in my case (LMP uses 14 days). I am *pretty sure* all OBs use LMP dating whether or not you had a natural or medicated cycle by ER date.
Some drs also use the date of egg retrieval to confuse things further. The dr that is going to deliver you should be the date you worry about. You just have to pick on and go by it. I use my OB's dates because he is going to be the one that decides things about their health realated to how far along I am.
3 days isn't that big of a deal, but still, I know, it is annoying
Me: 37 DH: 40 TTC since 9/09
#1 BFP 1/10/11; missed m/c discovered 7w5d IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology #1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN #1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart! #2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14 M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!
My RE based it off of the ER date, which happened to be 14 days exactly from the LMP. But still off by 1 day with the OB. According to the RE, I'm due June 21, the OB says June 22.
But at my last appt LO was measuring 6 weeks ahead, so I'm just going to stick with the REs due date with the understanding that LO will pick his own birthday.

My RE based it off of my ER date. If I go to a due date calculator and put in my ER date as the date I conceived I get the same EDD my RE gave me. I put in your ER date in the calculator and got 10/28/14 as your EDD.
My crazy RE gave me some wacky date that made absolutely no sense to me, even after clarifying. Her EDD was an entire week AFTER the date my OB ended up giving me. My OBs date has been spot on with every measurement at each appointment! My OB's date also matched what would have been a five day transfer (although mine was a 6 day.) I think the IVF calculators are the way to go.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for hope and a future" Jer 29:11

"I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of salvation unto all who believe" Rom 1:16
So pregnancy is supposed to be 280 from LMP (if we were talking natural here). So if you did a fresh transfer, which it sounds like you did, your ER would be like you O date, so you would add 266 (280 - 14) days to that. That should get you to what should be your EDD. So if my calculation is right, that would put you at 10/28/14 as an EDD (I did the calc in Excel - I'm a nerd).
For example's sake: I had an FET with a 6-day embryo on 10/6/13, so if I was fresh that would have made my fertilization (or ER) date 10/1/13...+ 266 that puts me at 6/24/14, which is the EDD my RE gave me and that's what I've been sticking with the whole time, my m/w hasn't changed it (yet).
I don't get how they can change and move around EDDs with us IVF ladies when we know for sure the exact date that our eggs fertilized...makes no sense!

I typed your dates into the online IVF calculator and it put you at October 28 for a due date.
Did you have an ultrasound yet? Normally those early ultrasounds are the most accurate. If your RE is like mine, they used the last ultrasound I had done to date the pregnancy with a final date. My date switched from July 10 to the 9th based on an 8week ultrasound. Then my OB just takes with the RE says as long as my ultrasound with the OB coincides with the dates that the RE had by about 4 days.
Re: How did your RE date your pregnancy? (just a tad confused!)
