Anyone else have a total lack of motivation to move off the couch in their first trimester? I own two of m own businesses that are totally up to me to work or not and with my kids in school during the day, I am totally unmotivated to move from the couch! Last time I was pregnant I had a 2-year-old and I barely remember it! I don't think sitting on the couch was an option!
I'm into the 2nd tri and still have no motivation. I'm starting to feel guilty as I'm perfectly capable of getting up and getting things done but leaving my poor husband to cook dinner etc seems easier.
I hear you, nikkiuk...my husband was doing the dishes, putting kids to bed, taking dogs out last night and I just sat on the couch, under my blanket, completely unmotivated to move! Mornings are the worst, though!
I'm a total slug too. I dont remember being this tired or unmotivated with my first two. I'm lucky to have a guy who doesn't mind picking up the slack for me right now.
You ladies are helping me as I am currently sitting on the couch unmotivated to do my list of things I should do today. I also own my business but couldn't (or didn't want to) make it in today after getting sick a few times this morning.
It's a big consolation to hear you're not alone, isn't it? I feel the worst for my dogs. They are lowest on the totem pole of priorities so they're barely getting outside.
This is my first baby and I'm 11 1/2 weeks along. I'm SO unmotivated to do anything and I have work Mon-Thurs from 8:30am to 7:00pm. It's so exhausting and all I want to do is sleep, but I can't at work! I envy you lol
I have zero motivation. None. Zilch. lol I wish I could lay on the couch every day and watch tv and nap. Unfortunately, I have to go to work. I'm at work right now actually.. shouldn't be bumping but I am. Today is my Friday. I took Halloween off so I can take the kids to the doctor in the morning and go to their halloween festivities. Plus, my sweet little Olivia is 2 today! And her party is Saturday so I thought I could get my running around done. So I also have like Friday fever and really really really do NOT feel like working!
"@" KirstenAlecia.. that is more than I can say for myself! I've always been overweight too. I just lost 60lbs literally a month ago I just got rid of all of it since my daughter was born. I was working out 7 days a week. Now.. I can't even get out of bed in the morning to do it because I'm either exhausted or I'm too sick. Ugh. I've gained 9lbs already! Ridiculous. It's all the carbs and no exercise!
Yup. I'm trying, really, really trying, to be productive at work but since I'm on here it clearly isn't happening. I got to the gym today (but only because I had an appointment with my personal trainer). But today is such a bad day. I feel like crap, my nausea makes me want to hide and all I really want to do is sleep until I feel better.
Right there with you @Klavanga74!! I'm 20 weeks along with my first baby and I'm having a really hard time focusing on work! I'm a graphic designer, own my business too and I'm forcing myself to care about the work!! I'd rather watch tv in my recliner (which I fall asleep to half the time)! I work with another company (with an awesome owner) that's been supplying me with a lot of my work lately and he just keeps giving me more! I'm getting further and further behind, I NEED the money, but I'm just so tired!

I swear I was trying to stay lower carb even in my pregnancy but unfortunately its food with carbs that takes the edge of the nausea! Things like crackers and potatoes.
Sleep is also the the only way to get away from the nausea sometimes
This is my first pregnancy and I have felt terrible with absolutely NO motivation. I've worked out exactly twice in 3 weeks which was not my plan. The nausea was killing me so I finally tried the sea band thing and it seems to be helping, although I have to say that the excuse of "I'm trying to make sweat bands a "thing" again" is not going to work for long!
I'm experiencing this too, although it seems to be starting to lift. It's very up and down - one day I can hardly talk myself into getting out of bed, another I leave work early with no regrets whatsoever, on a third day, I might feel a bit more productive, but on the forth it's back to being useless.
I am right there with you! I miss my gym motivation from 3 months ago. Now, I'm tired, nauseous, and a big crabby slug. I'm really hoping things turn around soon.
