Flonase?

Anyone know if Flonase is safe during pregnancy? It's not something ingested, obviously. But I'd like to be sure. I've got an awful sinus headache. Stupid orange trees are blossoming here in AZ. Its making me miserable! :(

This is a definite "ask your OB before use" med. If it could be avoided, I'd try to avoid it, but sometimes it's the best option.

My OB mentioned it to me yesterday. I've had a cold for about two weeks and so she told me if it doesn't get better in another week or so it's something I can consider using.

Yeah, I'll call my doc today. I wanted relief last night, so hubby went and bought me some saline spray. (I didn't feel it warranted a call to the overnight line.) the saline helped a little. But this morning I have a sore throat and achy muscles. I better not be getting sick the day before vacation :(

It's Category C like a lot of other meds so no evidence on humans available.  I started taking it yesterday.  I am so congested.  Saline isn't cutting it, I used the neti pot and I'm so congested it won't even flow through!

My OB put me on it because it is more localized than Sudafed and she would prefer I do the spray.

I've taken Flonase for the last 1.5 years for allergy relief. Of course ask your own OB, but mine recommended that I continue to take it, because "breathing is important." It's a localized steroid, so it's not ingested like other medications. I typically used it morning and night, but I've just been using it as needed as an extra precaution. I feel better using a few sprays of that than ingesting other sinus medications.
