All the talk about rings and seeing @ABColeslaw 's gorgeous ring have me all distracted this evening, and now I want to see your rings. Show me your engagement/wedding bands!
My band made by my H out of titanium. I have the only channel set titanium setting as my H owns the copyright for it and it is a super hard metal to work with. Alternating diamonds and Tsavorite Garnets.
I I hate that I only have this crappy picture, and even though I posted it in the UO, here it is again. 3 carat emerald cut Tsavorite Garnet flanked by quarter carat diamonds I love green!
eta: pardon my weirdo pinky nail. it grows split. the ladies at the nail salon always try to "fix" it with super glue. ummm....not happening, but thanks

I actually picked mine out from a vintage ring website and we had it designed for me. 2 of the 3 diamonds were left to me by my grandmother, so it has a lot of personal value for me! I have still never seen a ring I like more!

I enjoy this setting a lot!
Thanks! I love it becuase it's halo-esque without being cookie cutter straight out of the mall. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it's NMS.
@ABColeslaw I lurve it. I'd never heard of tsavorite, but it's beautiful. I'm also super jealous that your H is that skilled.
I'm filtering through my photos to find a good picture of mine, but the close-ups I have are phone-selfies, so I've also attached a nice one from our wedding. Moissanite 3-stone in a platinum setting. I got the moissanite because I wanted a durable stone but wasn't really interested in diamonds. I'm too rough with my hands. 5 years later, and I've already chipped the center stone...
My fingers are so swollen I'm hoping I don't have to take them off!!! We had them designed by our family jeweler & my favorite part is a tiny ruby inside the band of my engagement ring... There's an Egyptian legend that says a ruby touching a woman's skin brings great happiness & prosperity
Not the best detail shot, but I love it. We got married at buffalo trace so the bottle is meaningful. And an up close shot too. When Elliott and Ryland were born I somehow lost a diamond in my engagement ring. We replaced it with a blue stone for December and added another so it now has two. It's not as pretty, but it's special.
My husband's family has been using the same family jeweler for 3 generations. The center diamond is from 1919 and his great-grandmother. I designed the setting with the jeweler. The wedding band is fused to the engagement ring.
My ring is so small compared to the rest! Such pretty rings you all have!
This is the best/clearest photo I could find on this computer of mine. Its my purtay lil petite ring
I think it's beautiful! I wanted a smaller one but I have really long fingers and the smaller ones I liked looked strange on my lanky fingers. I also like your hubby's!

Thanks ! and ya i LOVE my DHs ring.. We saw it and both fell inlove with it hehe.. He really likes blue and he was looking for a ring with a blue line through it and we ended up seeing this infinity ring at the same jewelers and snagged it ^.^
Excuse the kinda crappy pic, didn't have one on my phone so I just snapped one. Hubby and I designed the engagement ring together and we got basic tungsten bands for our wedding bands.
I'll play! I picked mine. White gold, and the center actually was in a pinky ring that FIL wore when he and MIL were dating! Ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life... My band is just a thin band that fits along the edge of my engagement ring.
Left: engagement ring- emerald cut blue topaz with diamond accents. I only wear it when I'm wearing my full set of blue topaz- DH has been buying me topazes for special occasions for a very long time so I have necklace, bracelet, rings, earrings.
Center: church band- turns out that the filigree is too delicate for daily wear. But it is super pretty sparkly with diamond chips. I wear it on special occasions now.
Right: everyday wedding band- wear it around the clock. Engraved with the same as DHs band: "Once upon a dream..."

Everyone's rings are so beautiful, love hearing the stories behind them!
Mine are made from a piece of jewelry that was my husbands grandmothers. It was a slide necklace with all the diamonds that we had made into 2 rings by a family jeweler. The rings are shaped like waves because we are sailors :-) I love them so much! His grandmother passed away 2 months before our wedding but it's nice to know that we always have part of her around, she doted on her grand kids so much!
My husband designed my engagement ring and the wedding band to match. The eternity band was a valentines gift a couple of years ago. I typically hate surprises but my engagement ring is probably one of the only ones in my life I've loved. I had nothing to do with designing it yet I can't imagine anything id love more. He did good.
You all have such pretty rings! I'll play too, DH let me pick mine out because he knows I'm super picky. The first is from our honeymoon, without my wedding band, the second is obviously mine with my band.

Your rings are gorgeous. I love green too and was so close to saying screw diamonds and getting an emerald!
TherebeDragons I LOVE your blue topaz ring! Im obsessed with the glacier topaz's and that looks almost alike
Our engagement story is complicated (I proposed) but we picked out the ring together out of our vacation mad money fund. MILs engagement ring had been peridot so going with an untraditional stone felt right (and years later SILs engagement ring is aquamarine- its fun that we both went with blue stones) and I had a wide choice of colors. Chose the one that reminded me of DHs eyes. Such a pretty light blue.
I find aquamarine a little too icy most of the time although I have a stunning aquamarine ring from DHs grandmother's estate- its a deeper blue than usual for that stone. Blue topaz is almost always the right shade and refreshingly inexpensive depending on the setting and companion stones.
I love the few diamond pieces I have- but they're all inherited (apart from the chips. Chips are everywhere) and I can't imagine spending that much on a pretty stone when its not my favorite.

It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
Ugh the damn picture is sideways!
