Due date/Shower

So... How far apart are your shower and due date? Mine is pretty much one month apart. Shower is April 5th, due date is May 4th. I'm a little nervous about that....

I'm due on May 5th and my shower is on March 15th.  April is too packed for a shower with family events, birthdays and what not.  So March it is!

I am due May 14 and my shower is March 23, so about 7ish weeks apart.

Mine are about 6-7 weeks before my due date.

12 weeks. It's the only weekend we can travel but I'm happy it'll be done early.

I don't know the date of my shower yet, I think they're trying to keep it a surprise. I was originally told to expect it some time in March. I'm due May 11. So, probably no more than 8 weeks before my due date.

Oh, I'm nervous because the baby has SUA and the doctor said that is associated with earlier births. But the hostess said that was the best date for her and many of the guests, so that is when it will be. I hope baby stays inside until after the shower.

I'm having an early shower, but that's recommended with twins. My 1st shower is right around 28w the church shower is the following weekend.

I don't know the date of the shower. MIL said either the last weekend in March or first weekend in April. She hasn't done much planning yet...I'm due the 5th, so it'll be 4-5 weeks.

I'm due May 27th and my shower is April 27th.  My mom is a tax accountant, and since she's the planner, we decided to have it after tax season is over.  Kinda makes me nervous, but I think it will be okay.

Mine is actually this Saturday which is crazy early I know. My group if friends is spread all up over the east coast and we happen to all be going to Connecticut this weekend for an annual party. The hostess asked if I didn't mind doing it the same weekend which I don't, saves me from doing another 7-9 hour drive down south (I'm in Canada)

I'm have risk factors for preterm birth as well so I understand why you're nervous about it being four weeks out but I hope your LO stays in there for you!

I didn't have a shower, but when I was expecting DD we had an amazon registry and I ordered everything on it with the completion coupon at 35w. I had a csection scheduled at 38w. We didn't buy anything for the baby before that.

Mine is 6 weeks before my due date. I actually wanted it a bit earlier because I have to travel out of town for it (5 hours).

My due date is May 11th and my first shower will be April 5th and my second shower will be April 13th. We really have no baby stuff, besides a bunch of clothes and the travel system, but I know my parents are buying the crib, my in laws are buying the changing table, my brother and sister in law are getting us a pack in play and my good friend is going to see if he can give my grandmas old rocking chair a make over!

I'm pretty much the same as the OP. Shower 4/5 and due 5/9. I wish it were earlier, but this was the only date that worked for my sister, mom, and mother-in-law. My shower is going to be really small and we're buying most of the big stuff ourselves, so I'm not too worried about it, except part of me is just worried about how huge and uncomfortable I'll be and the possibility I'll go early.

I'm due May 8th. My first shower will be in a couple weeks, but I'm flying home for it so we wanted it to be early. My coworkers are having a shower for me March 29th.

Mine is the end of March, but April is insane there is no way we could have had it in April. We have two weddings, Easter (which is big for DH's family) and we have some family that goes away during April vacation. I wouldn't think April would be rushing it if we had to do it in April though, you still have plenty of time before your due date!

My shower will be April 5th and I am due May 19th. It was the date that worked best for my mom and aunt, who are hosting.

My family shower is 2 months before and my work shower is 1 month before. It doesn't make me nervous for the 1 month before. That's plenty of wash and make pretty time as long as everything stays on track :-)

Looking like shower March 15th, due date May 23rd. We had to make some allowances for the fact that no one really expects me to make it to May with PTL and IC issues. But they also didn't want to throw my shower much earlier and have it be more of a viability party than baby shower.

If it winds up being after baby is born- so be it. If I wind up being on hospital bed rest and it has to be cancelled- so be it. There's no much I can do to change the reality of not knowing when this baby will make her appearance.

Shower is 4/12 and I'm due 5/22. I do wish it was a little earlier so we have more time to get everything set up, figure out what we still need to get and wash everything, but that's the date that worked for my sister & mom, so I'm not complaining!

I'm due 5/20 & I have one shower on 3/15 & one on 3/29. April is way too busy & he may have to come around 37 weeks so March was the best option!

Pretty much this. I am a CPA and also due may 27, but we are also waiting until after tax season is over. I'm just going with the flow.

I'm not having a shower for baby #2, but for my first shower it was 6 weeks before I was due. Good thing because I gave birth 3 weeks after my shower! I had everything set up and organized in the house and surprise! My water broke!

With dd my shower was 3 weeks after she was born! Though, I pretty much had all the necessities. I do know someone who had their shower 5 weeks before the due date but have birth one week later! Crazy!

And then I have a very small second shower planned for 4-12.

March 16th and I'm due May 7th! We also had to work around Easter, my bday and throwing a shower for my SIL before I deliver (hopefully) so that the fam and in laws can be there and not at a baby shower lol!
