beta integrin 3 test

My RE is having me do a beta integrin 3 test to make sure I have the protein that can be missing with some endo patients. Apparently that protein is like the glue that helps the embie stick. My old RE didn't believe in this test.

Has anyone done this test? 
If so, how bad was the biopsy? 
Me: 36 - stage 2/3 endometriosis, diminished ovarian reserve (DOR), poor responder
Hubs: 37 - low morphology
TTC since 2008

HSG + Saline sonogram: 8/13/2010
IUI #1: BFN 09/2010
IUI #2: BFN 10/2010
IUI #3: + acupuncture: BFN 12/26/2010
Laparoscopy: Diagnosed and cleaned out endometriosis 1/9/2012
IVF#1 (ICSI): Long Lupron + acupuncture = Cancelled 1/11/2013
Second opinion phone consult with CCRM: 5/13/2013
ODWU at CCRM: 6/10/13
IVF #2 (ICSI): Estrogen Priming Protocol - ER 9/28/2013 = 7 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilized (banked and frozen at one cell stage for PGD testing with embies next retrieval)
IVF #3 (ICSI): Estrogen Priming Protocol - ER 1/10/14 = 8 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized. My 4 from previous cycle were thawed at Day 1 to grow to Day 5 blastocyst phase with my 3 fresh embryos. Only 2 embryos made blastocyst and were biopsied for CCS testing. Both were abnormal. Nothing to transfer from either cycle. Told that I should move onto other options.Grieving loss of any biological children with my genes.

    I had it done about a month ago. I think it's controversial and not many docs use it. Mine came back inconclusive which just ticked me off. After spending $900 on the test I got no usable data from it. My RE said she doesn't put much stock in the result and I can repeat it if it makes me feel better or we can ignore it. I know a few ladies over on IF vets have had it and have been out of phase and treated (with depot lupron) and have gotten their BFPs. Quite honestly, I thought it hurt more than most testing does, but it does only last a few seconds.
    Me: 37, DH: 38: ttc 7 years, dx: unknown
    10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
    11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid & normal hsg),
    12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s, 1/12: D&C
    6/12 IUI#1-IUI #3: clomid = BFP!, C/P
    IVF #1(10/12) FSH 5.4, AFC: 16 long Lupron, 5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast/1-8 cell transferred=BFN
    IVF #2(12/12)AFC 21, MD lupron, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast and 2-8cell. BFN.
    IVF#3(4/13) Natural start antagon protocol, 12R,11F. one PGS normal at day 6 transfer. BFN.
    IVF#4 (11/13) C.CRM (ODW.U normal 8/13 Still no Diagnosis) EPP/antagonist. ER 13R/7M/6F. Only 1 made it to freeze. Abnormal. Looking into options of DE, Fresh vs frozen.
    10/14 new local RE to look into what's next. CD3 FSH 4.7, AMH 0.9. Met with DE agencies and exploring options for feb/march 2015.
    Surprise natural bfp (4 days before donor is signed). Beta #1 at 9dpo: 51.8, 2nd beta: 195 (25 hours doubling) @11dpo. 3rd beta (12/15): 516 (35 hrs doubling) 4th beta(12/17): 895 (58 hours doubling) 5th beta(12/19): 2120. U/S at 5w0d(12/22): one gestational sac with yolk sac. U/S #2 (6w0d)12/29. One little bean measuring 6w0d with HR 124. 3rd u/s(1/4)7w0d: baby measuring 7w2d. HR 134. 3/30: A/S at MFM went great except for low lying placenta. Verifi results are normal! Team Blue! Please send any positive thoughts our way! EDD:8/24/2015

    Good luck! I hope it goes well. I'm not going back until late Jan for next ER. Is it weird that I'm jealous that yours is coming up so soon. LOL. I'm already sick of waiting. Life of an IVF patient. Sucks to be giving injections but it sucks to be doing nothing as well.

    I did the E-tegrity biopsy as well.  I actually didn't find it that bad.  I think the key to having it go smoothly is to have a full bladder and taking two Advil an hour before.  It seems that most (but not all) of the people I have seen that have had pain or a lot of bleeding were not told to have a full bladder prior to the procedure.  If you are having it at CCRM I am sure everything go smoothly though.

    Beta #1 @ 10dp6dt = 265; Beta #2 @ 14dp6dt = 1251. 

    1st U/S @ 6w2d showed one perfect little heartbeat! 

    2nd U/S @ 7w2d. HB 132 & everything measuring on track.

    Our beautiful little girl arrived January 2015!

    That's possible. I was asked to empty my bladder before the procedure and I usually don't have any problem handling testing, but it was uncomfortable for me definitely.

    I am also at CCRM and had the biposy done a few months ago. I also just had the scratch done a few weeks ago before my upcoming transfer, lucky me. Not gonna lie, i thought it hurt like a b*#%@! But, the good news is that it is really quick, like 10-15 seconds. Once the doc got all the gadgets up there, he said 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, 9:00, as he did the 4 quadrants, and it was over. Just hold your breath, close your eyes, and it will be done! Definitely take a pain reliever before ( I forgot that both times!), and I would prepare to be a bit lazy and just relax the rest of the day, if you can. I was also told to empty my bladder, so maybe the full bladder thing helps. I don't know. GL!!!

     Me (34)- no issues found MH (36)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist. 9R, 7M, 5F = BFN c/p,  New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS  4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice. CCRM-here we come! ODWU-All test results normal. EPP in August. 21R, 20M, 19F. 12 blasts biopsied & frozen for CCS testing. Results showed 11 normal! FET Oct. 30. 2 5d 4AA blasts transferred. First ever BFP!!! Beta 1=216, Beta 2=870 1st U/S=It's TWINS!!! It's a BOY and a GIRL!! Everyone Welcome!!!
