Vitex question. Please help

Hello everyone
I am new here and I'm ttc I'm 26 no kids regular periods but I do not believe I ovulate. The last time I went to the doctor I had several cyst small in size in the ovaries. When I went back after 2 months of bc pills the number reduced to 5 small ones. I used opk for 2 months and I get positives on them but I bd and is not successful during the times of opk+

Ok now for my questions lol. Will vitex work if I have regular periods? Will vitex make me estrogen deficient?
Thanks in advance!

Waaaaaaaiiiittt a minute--you have regular periods and get positive OPKs buy you still don't think you ovulate?

Before you start taking ANYTHING you should start temping. Get the book Taking Control of Your Fertility, read the newbie blog, lurk on this site and go from there. It can take a healthy couple up to one year to conceive.

Ditto to what @GhostMonkey and @slappalicious said.  If you want to know if you're ovulating, start charting your BBT.  Fertility Friend is a free website with an app for your phone and you can track your cycles and pinpoint your ovulation day.

    Here's my Vitex cautionary tale:
I started taking Vitex a few months after I came off BCP because I had irregular cycles and everything I read said that it would help. My pcp at that time said it was fine to try. I thought that the Vitex was working because my first cycle on it, my cycle was 35 days instead of 39 days.  However, my next cycle was 94 days.

I scheduled my annual exam with my ob/gyn around day 60 and we discussed my long cycles.  She said that I should stop taking Vitex immediately.  She said that it took a while for the Vitex to get into your system, so that 35 day cycle was really just my body continuing to regulate after BCP and the 94 day cycle was at least partially due to the Vitex.  So, just when I was starting to regulate, I fucked myself.  Yay me!
