If I remember correctly, it was about 1 1/2 to 2 ounces, sometimes less, every two and a half hours. Four hours seems much too long between feedings at that age! My pediatrician told me newborns need to eat every two-three hours.
3-4 hours was hospital recommendation for FF. My one year old ate every 4 hours from birth (He refused to eat at 3). This baby likes to eat every 3 hours on the dot. Just feed when the baby shows hunger signals and you will be fine.
eta for a daily value it is approximately 2.5 ozs for every pound (i.e.-7 lb baby is 17.5oz) in a 24 hour period.
No more than 1.5 -2 oz every 2-3 hrs. I did have to wake him to eat the first week. I never let him go over 4 hrs without eating. He's over his birthweight at 2weeks, so I'm no longer waking him.......he does seem to be waking himself every 3-4 hrs now. He will want 3 oz most of the time now.
