To know or not

My husband and I went to my 20 week ultrasound today with every intention to find out the baby's gender.  However, the baby had other plans, and wouldn't move their legs enough for the doctor to even be able to make a good guess.  This is my last scheduled ultrasound with my regular doctor, and the only option I really have left is to have a 3D ultrasound done.  My husband and I are now debating if we should find out, or if we should wait until the baby is born.  Our family and friends are divided in their opinions, some telling us to have the ultrasound, others saying to wait.  I was very anxious to know before today, but now I'm starting to want the surprise at the birth.  I'm just curious as to what other expectant mothers would do in this situation.
