Hi dukeblue27!! Congrats on your LO! How is everything going? Do you mind me asking where you had your baby? and how you liked it? I go to Sanford but I don't even know what their delivery areas are like. Do either you or jessicat2283 have tips on daycares? I Know I still have a while to go but I know I am going to be going back to work and I don't even know where to begin!

Hi! I delivered at Avera and LOVED it! However I worked in the NICU at avera for 6 years so I am very biased I had wonderful care and loved the big nice rooms. Sorry no tips on daycare we are using an in-home daycare and I found her because she posted a sign on the side of the road! We honestly just kept our eyes open and just called people and went to visit their homes until we found one we liked! Good luck it was so hard for me to find one I was comfortable with!!

Sorry I'm no help on the daycare front. I only work pt time & set my schedule so my mil watched kids when I work. What side of town are you on? I've had lots of friends who use daycare so I can get recommendations

jessicat2283 !! It's nice you are able to have your MIL watch the kids for you. That's one of the tough parts for me about living away from all our families. I would love any recommendations from your friends though! We live on the west side of town

Hello everyone! I apologize, I have been MIA on the bump for a while, I picked up a seasonal position at the mall and life has been a little crazy working three jobs.We found out on Christmas though we are having a little boy!

Congratulations!! I am glad you popped in here! I am also delivering at Sanford. Things are moving along quickly!  We are interviewing our first daycares in just a week. I am so excited for this little one, but still feel so unprepared!

I see Dr. Schipper. She has been great! I have not toured the delivery area yet but I have heard good things. Dr. Hermanson was also recommeneded to me, but I know when I looked into starting with her as my OB before we started TTC she had a 3 month wait on appointments which is why I went with Schipper. Clearly I cannot speak from experience about delivering there, but when I had to go in for surgery on an arm injury all the staff were wonderful. I will say I found out that the person who actually delivers your baby will be whoever is on call for deliveries at the time, not necessarily your doctor. I don't loved that idea, but I am still sticking with Sanford.

Thanks for sharing your experience, nice to hear good things about Sanford Also if you have any tips on finding daycares I would love any input. DH has a rotating work schedule and finding an affordable part time daycare that will work with it has been stressing me out.
