My Monday (a GIF essay)

I'm having the Monday of all Mondays and thought I would share my morning with you in GIF.



My Monday started with driving DH to the airport. This has been a pretty typical Monday morning for the past 6 months or so.


 I volunteer at a Justice Project which DH refers to as the "Justice League".  Since I was up early, I decided that I would go from the airport to the Justice League to get some work done.


Luckily, I'm used to getting up early so I was ready.


Except I wasn't. I could not find the memory stick that I save all of my work on for the Justice League. It's almost pointless for me to go in without it since all of my work is saved to it. All of it. 

As DH was pushing me out the door, I grabbed my laptop and decided I would go in anyways.




After dropping DH off, I took the exit to head west (towards downtown) instead of east (towards home).  I some how missed the turn off and ended up in orbit around the airport again.

I really hate orbiting the airport. I decided to take surface streets to the Justice League instead.

I got to the office with no issues. Until I tried to open the door.

My code no longer worked (or I've completely forgot the code since last week)

Between the missing memory stick, the wrong turn at the airport, and now the changed code (with no one else at the office), I decided the universe was sending me a message.

I started driving home, when I noticed 1) the on ramp was really full, and 2) the cars in front of me had come to almost a standstill.


I look in my review mirror and see that the car behind me obviously was not paying attention to the line of stopped cars going up the on ramp.

I may have yelled "Pay attention fucktard!" at the driver behind me.

Once we get moving, the guy passes me and gives me a look

Seriously dude, you were tailgating me and not paying attention to what was going on.

Then, as I was finishing my drive home, I realized that my boobs were sore

And because DH rushed me out the door

I did not update my chart this morning

No wonder my day is so off. My morning obsession with my chart was interrupted.



Or the universe is messing with me.

I'm sorry your morning was so rough. What sort of cases do you get to work on at the Justice project? Are they capital appeals or more like indigent plaintiffs/defendants? I have worked on a few "justice league" type projects and loved it.

Ohh Bug! I'm sorry your morning was so rough. That was like an extra special sucky Monday in your honor. Your DH better appreciate that extra special effort you put in each morning. It seems like he is the culprit to all your troubles.

Awesome!! You're in Tennessee, no? There are quite a few innocence projects in Ohio and Texas but I didn't know of one in Tennessee.

Still in AZ. The director of ours did not know of one in Tennessee either. I'll probably volunteer at a legal aid society once we finish our move.

buggirl72, thank you for sharing that!  I am sorry you had such a bad day.  I also made some careless mistakes yesterday.  I am a teacher and went into my classroom for the first time this summer.  Long story short, I misplaced my classroom keys somewhere and now I have to go back today and find them.  So embarrassed!  They are going to say, "You lost them already?"  when I get there.  To make matters worse, I have a horrible cold and wish I didn't have to go back but I know I won't rest easy until I find them.  Hopefully, today is better for you!!
