How long did AF last?

I think I am getting my period for the first time... Our anniversary is Dec. 29th! How long did your first one last?!? We are planning a weekend get away and would like to NOT be on my damn period!

    I may be different, but I had my first one for over a week.  Probably 10 days.  Mine also hurt like hell, which isn't usually the case, so I am not sure.

    I just got my first visit from AF on Monday, and it seems to be running my normal 5 day course (no longer a heavy flow, and is slowing down). In addition, my cramps are calming down.

    Mine was also about 10 days. It didnt hurt like hers, but it did last longer than my before baby period
